Reading the news of what is coming put of your country is shocking to say the least and frightening.

But it could get way worse if things continue, so I ask at what point do you start spending your freetime organizing Demonstrations, Marches or even more?

I see a lot of people asking on social media why Dems or other gov reps do not enough to stop what the administration is doing, but I also don't see not even close to enough political movement from the general public to even show you are against the sliding into fascism.

Or are there a lot happening and just not reported about?

Reading the news of what is coming put of your country is shocking to say the least and frightening.

I don't know what to do anymore. She's had a drinking problem for awhile, and she gets really erratic and belligerent - especially when she's upset. Her job was a chance for us to get back on our feet. She chewed me out last night and told me my actions effect everyone and not just me - and she does this, leaving me wondering what to do with her young kids. Her mother told me she called her from jail and couldn't understand what she was saying, just talking nonsense. I feel like she's dragging me down with her

Haven't heard from her today. I have to work and find a way to get her ass out. She got angry at me last night and made me a nervous wreck, acting belligerent and yelling at me. Now I have to help solve her problems, again.

I feel bad for Jombie. Alcoholic family is hard.

From January:

Struggling. Payday today and already negative in the bank, wife has been out of work and finally has a job; however, we're down to one car and don't know how to get her to work and back. My mom was going to help out and she wrecked her car this morning.. wife is also bi-polar, and I'm constantly walking on eggshells around her and trying to solve her problems. Life is just empty.

From September last year. Notably "my girlfriend":

My girlfriend works thirds and I'm looking after her kids. I left the door to the bedroom cracked because I was doing something in the kitchen. I see one of her kids looking in the bedroom, and my gf is sitting on an old rocking chair... Peeing. I didn't know what she was doing at first, then saw that her pants were down. I asked her if she knew she was peeing on a chair and replied she had to pee and 'this was the closest.' She's never done anything like this, and I'm really concerned. She's out of it more than usual, so I'm certain she either drank or took something before she got home. I'm equally concerned and kind of angry. I don't think this was a case of sleep walking, she just seemed UTI. Has anyone ever experienced something like this?

Honestly, I'm surprised Jombie's surprised. At a certain point you gotta own up to the life you've configured for yourself.

Also had a lol about this, from the september thread. Following this advice would've saved poor Jombie a lot of heartache.

I suspect there's a lot of gen xers that basically feel like the target of admonishment from millennials, and rebel against that.

Gen X had it easy, they were basically given houses and jobs, so when they hear millennials complaining they think "well I managed, they should just work hard like I did".

Also they can tend to feel like efforts to be considerate to different groups (IE not casually use slurs, not discriminate based on race, gender, disability) etc which were largely pushed forward by millennials are attacking them. It was acceptable and routine to make homophobic, racist and otherwise distasteful jokes in the 80s and 90s.

Edit: yeah it's basically a lot of social values formed by watching too much TV and not having the internet when growing up, and then later being specifically targeted when they are online.

I guess I missed the memo basically giving me a house and job, while growing up poor white trash in a trailer park.

Since this thread doubles as a way to shit on woke vidya, I’d really think twice about buying Spider Man 2 if you haven’t yet.. Playing it on PC and the writing, at least for the Miles section of the game, is bordering on Veilguard territory. 

Idk if this is widely known or not but yeah…disappointing after the first two being tolerable.

I think this game was actually the reason Sweet Baby inc came under fire in the first place. The drop in the writing is so noticeable compared to the first one they really seem like the most likely culprit.
Some reviewer described is as "everyone talking as if HR is in the room" and that's a pretty perfect description.
