Actually could I get a title change? As others have pointed out it they prolly didn't change out one character for another.

Normally, the mods will react to these requests and rewrite the thread title themselves without wasting time in the writers room. But not this time.

I didn't think the title implied that. o3o It says after all that a new character was introduced after a specific storyline was dropped, not that a character was replaced.

It's always nice to know I'm considered secondary and unimportant to well-off Americans.

Yeah I was going to point out those two things aren't mutually exclusive and would be interesting in it's own right. it's very easy to forget many trans people are religious, from Jewish, Muslim, Pagan etc, I know a couple of Muslim trans people right now celebrating Ramadan and some of the nicest people I've ever met was a pro-trans Rabbi I met at Heathrow.

Of course we all know why this is happening and who this is meant to appeal, this is to appeal to US Christian Fundamentalists and rightwing chuds who couldn't give a crap about loving and caring about their neighbours and care solely about hate and power, all the while pointing to a book most in any have actually read. Yep, I pointed out in another thread yesterday that the biggest media franchise in the world, Pokémon is amazingly diverse (outside of explicit LGBTQ+ characters sadly) especially in recent years yet it doesn't matter to these people (god it will hurt in Game Freak/The Pkmn company pulls any of this).

I love how that thread shows they think everyone else thinks like them. That sticking a Christian character in a show will make all those millions of people love and want a watch a show just like these people love something because it has a trans character or whatever. And that this must be the entire purpose for putting a character in a show in the first place. It's all about hitting the mandated corporate check list of "diverse" characters until it hits critical mass to be a "success" and nothing else.

Also how they see all these media entities as battlefields that exist mostly for a display of the "proper representation" of which demographic classes are socially ascendant or not as proxy for their own social status.
