The terrible voice for Naoe aside: I thought the world had agreed that upon that giving "foreign" people an accent when the game/movie takes place IN these "foreign" (putting that in quotation marks, because they're actually not foreign in the context) environments is racist?! If you had the stereotypical "white savior"-setting where Japanese people talk in broken English to the American hero, then it'd make sense. But this game features Japanese heroes who grew up in Japan, who ALL speak Japanese. So when you turn them into English-speakers, it then becomes their regular language, so they wouldn't have that accent.

Really don't like this decision of Ubisoft here.

As I said elsewhere, we need to be specific in our critiques of where we differ politically for these complaints about "purity testing" to warrant merit. And in this instance, we're specifically talking about whether or not it's okay to ethnically cleanse people. That literally should be an easy layup. "No, it's not okay" is the only answer that should fall out of anyone's mouth.

But many American liberals couldn't be bothered to join the fight in pressuring Biden and Kamala and standing up for an obvious instance of oppression when the moment presented itself because of their cowardly, sniveling insistence on "unity" and "decorum." But now they want to complain about fascism now? Like, the fascism was here already and they were the ones goose-stepping because it was a group of people they thought were easily disposable for the sake of political ambition. The moment arrived months ago and wasn't met. Everyone should have been lighting Biden and Kamala up, because Democrats don't stand for genocide right.... Right?

That whole row let me know right then and there some folks around here just don't actually have any hard morals beyond voting D down the ticket, no matter how ghoulish some of these people they let into the Party are.

And yet people wonder why there's dissatisfaction. They wonder why pockets of the left don't want to work with them. It's because they stand for nothing. And if they stand for nothing, that means it is a statistical inevitability that they will throw me under the bus in some way down the line. Hell, it's happened on here!

Ultimately, if genocide is okay, so is racism. So is transphobia. So is misogyny. So is all of it.

I do not trust liberals and Democrats anymore because they all proven time and time again that they are not trustworthy. They are not genuine. They don't care about me, like, just on the basis of being a decent human being. If it's between my rights and electoralism, I am screwed.

Because it's important to remember that you aren't making a simple claim that genocide is wrong and they're disagreeing with you, you're attempting to force a premise on them so you can claim they disagree with that simple claim. The Democrats, especially Kamala, were not enthusiastic supporters of Israel's actions, they were conflicted by being a coalition of interests. They ultimately chose not to throw supporters of Israel, existing US foreign policy and an ally out over a smaller faction of the coalition. And from this you jump to them being untrustworthy for supporting genocide. But at no point do you address how it's a genocide, you simply state it as true and expect everyone to agree.

And this is why you'll never have your dignified life. Why you'll never get, as you argue in that thread, that the only solution to any problem in life is the complete abolition of capitalism for a totalitarian police state take a carrot, leave a carrot commune. You so don't understand politics or society or even basic human interactions that you think it's not just reasonable but the most reasonable most acceptable thing to demand everyone else comply with your wishes at all times and agree with you on the truth of these wishes.

We can see this across that forum, in their demands not just about trans shit but everything else. It's a totalitarian mentality that demands all conform to one set of thoughts. They hash out the natural disputes that occur from people being different through emotional blackmail and extreme accusations such as here claiming that people support genocide because they aren't capable of actually discussing let alone debating any topic. Nepenthe herself has admitted time and time again that this works on her so she's absolutely furious that it doesn't work on everyone. 

She's a relentless zealot who is not just incredibly ignorant but obviously at this point clearly incredibly stupid. She is around a MovieBob level of intelligence. Whenever people bring real true social dilemmas or concerns up she steamrolls over them with "just do it" or "shut the fuck up." All while ordering everyone else to read basic theory and organize from her bedroom at her parents house after being a selfish child all her life. (Again, like MovieBob.) Even though as I show endlessly here she hasn't read any basic theory at all. She doesn't know history, she doesn't understand how the political system even works, she can't comprehend anything about economics, she can't even know what candidates are on the ballot as she's lecturing everyone about them and demanding they vote for socialist parties, etc. She is bitter and angry at the world because she believes it owes her everything when she gives it nothing. She may be the misguided kind of socialist who doesn't understand what they're arguing for, but she's also the vengeful angry socialist that wants to settle imaginary scores like Stalin and Pol Pot did. She's tried nothing and she's all out of ideas and it's everyone else's fault. She writes about her hatred of everyone almost as much as MovieBob does and the only reason she doesn't do it as much is as we saw with B-Dubs when he responded appropriately to her saying he should just die rather than compromise on something she was angry about. I don't claim to remotely be a good person, if that's even possible in an idealized form, but she's just an awful one. And it sets a vibe for that entire forum not just because she's an admin but because nobody calls her out and takes her to task for what she is and what she does. She's not the only problem there but she's one of them and it's ironic because they so regularly preach about how allowing just one bad apple spoils the whole bunch by making them all Nazis.

Also, it's fucking hilarious that she outright says "if they support genocide, they'll support anything like racism and transphobia!" Wow, you fucking think? Talk about admitting how much you've stripped genocide of any meaning. Especially considering she's someone who regularly advocates for billions of deaths through forced suffering and has written paeans to how great an apocalypse would be because it would let her build society from Year Zero aka have a "second chance" at the life she's done nothing with. But that's obviously not as bad as even blindly supporting Israel in a conflict with no easy answers like "the collective nation of Jewish people should go back where they belong."

Since getting an ADHD diagnosis is pretty easy, it's probably the only real diagnosis they have that sounds better than just being diagmosed with crippling laziness

EDIT: the real answer is they don't have a doctors diagnosis. They gov would put them on disability if they had a real shot at it. I'm disabled too but the gov actually pays me because I went throught doctors and court to get it. Like we are supposed to.

The original inspiration for my setting was Tactics Ogre but it rampantly expanded past that as a combination of other stuff I've experienced over time (one of my boss battles was a homage to the final fight in Chrono Trigger, another one was inspired by Kung Fu Hustle) until my setting basically became a post-medieval political fantasy world that has trains, magitek robot crabs, a fake suburb populated entirely by androids, and a ton of opera houses.


Any time I homage something I always put my own spin on it, though, and try to make it feel like it fits the world. For example, I have a homage to the Moonlight Greatsword from From Software's games in my setting as a legendary artifact weapon but it's been woven into the backstory of one of the major noble clans so deeply to the point at which it's basically become its own thing, even though I know it's a Moonlight Greatsword.

Yeah one of the easiest ways of getting disability is if you're autistic. which is probably why it's so hard to get diagnosed with autism.
