Why do people still whine about Avatar or doubt its gonna be good? Like fair if you dont wanna see it. I personally would have liked it if he stopped at 3 movies and not planned for 5. but the films are critically acclaimed, massive box office successes.

The trigger was playing Genshin Impact today where EVERY hero is super hot, with Mavuika being peak ridiculous. But it's like that in pretty much all Japanese video games. Everyone is hot, unless they're intentionally ugly. But normal ugly or just 'not hot' doesn't exist. And while this example comes from videogames, my experience is that rl isn't different. What's your experience in life: Does physical beauty matter?

Edit: Because several people got hung up on it: Genshin Impact was just what triggered my thoughts today. It is not the root cause of my grievances with the topic of physical beauty, sheesh.
