I'm gonna be talking about this at the start of tonight's stream. Understand I can't be the champion of issues like this, but I certainly can be made aware and not supportive. Avoiding the game entirely just causes a whole conversation I really don't want to have.

We all know there's no way this is being reverted or changed, sadly. However, I will remain extremely critical of his inclusion and execution in-game, and how it's the opposite of what I'd want for the future of SNK games.

Ronaldo is one of top three most famous athletes in the world. This is a straight come up for SNK and will let them expand their brand beyond Mexico. Max Dood is limiting his audience to only "gamer" folks that want accessibility options and titty size checks for every game if he goes thru with this.

Hi all. I'm another long-time lurker. I never knew if I should really go ahead and get an account until recently so here I am. Thanks for letting me join.

Not sure what to say about myself so I'll probably end up saying way too much. I'm 38, Canadian, and Trans. I am not religious. Politically I'm leftist which is to say, I'm not a liberal and I am progressive or even radical on just about everything I can think of. I don't really adhere to a particular tent within leftist ideas, but I am open and curious to anything I haven't already had to address and even then, I don't believe in certainty. I'll listen to a good argument with the caveat that most people don't know what a good argument looks or sounds like.

I dabble in gamedev, I write fiction, and I have a background in education -- I used to be a public school teacher. I also have background in philosophy, literature, and narrative/instructional design. These days, I am mostly a pixel artist. I learned for gamedev but it's become a major passion of mine and I would love to do it full time.

I also love Lego, movies, shows, and am fascinated by media in general even if sometimes it doesn't love me back. Not into "fandom" and am generally pretty critical of parasocial behaviors of all kinds. I'm probably just old fashioned.

When it comes to playing video games, I am eclectic and I finish most of the games I play beyond sampling the goods. Right now I am playing MH Wilds, SW Outlaws, and Roots of the Pacha. My opinions on games usually run toward the contextual/analytical. I don't care about streamers, achievements, completionism, tech incrementalism, or "my console can beat up your console". I'm here for the real shit. Real people with real thoughts and feelings on stuff I care about.

I remember a couple of years ago (either here or on the old site) someone posted a thread to teach people about International Men's Day, which raises awareness of suicide and mental illness rates in men. The number of "lol Men's Day" and "fuck 'em" replies was very frustrating to read, considering similar past threads regarding Women and LGBT issues were treated with the proper seriousness.
