So it's my birthday and I'll be spending it alone at least for most of the day.

I got no plans but I will be doing a bit of shopping for underwear and picking up a box of the latest Pokémon cards.

Other than that I got nothing!

Give me some ideas on how to spend the day guys! It's a beautiful cloudless day, gonna be the first hot day of the year, and I got a pocket full of cash!

I've never seen group of adults so obsessed with their birthdays. No idea what he thinks counts as a good solo date but a restaurant or movie definitely won't cut for him.

I'm not much of a foodie, never really crave anything in particular etc. but it might be a nice idea for lunch to find a place.
As for movies theres nothing playing at the moment that looks good. It's a Detetive Conan release so most theaters are flooded with that instead of anything else haha.

I usually meet friends for drinks and dinner but best friend got covid this week, other starts his new job today, and a few others just... I dunno I think I'd rather just hangout myself during the day and not have a hangover tomorrow lol. My other plan was to buy Lunar Remastered but thats digital only here so that will be my Sunday~

I've always struggled to learn how to play any of these instruments, I think in large part because of self imposed expectations.

This time around, I really want to use these instruments to make little sweet sounds without any expectations or a need for results. I just wanna be able to engage with these instruments in a liberating way, and learn how to play songs by ear, and play them for a bit before I go to bed.

Any tips for how to get into the habit, or ways to practice that result in sweet soothing sounds?

Another big reason I wanna do this, is because I believe playing instruments before bed instead of being on the internet will make for better sleep.

EDIT: For reference, I have 3 guitars, a bass, a keyboard, and a bunch of other instruments actually.

Folks, how do I learn to play an instrument? I've collected enough to outfit an orchestra, only the highest quality since I didn't want to hold myself back with just any kind of crap. The main thing I want to do is spend a few minutes each night before bed writing a symphony. I feel like that would be a better way to get to bed instead of learning about how shit existence is from Bluesky and wanting to die due to how horrible I have it compared to everyone. Not to mention how many people on the internet are out there celebrating eating meat. Anyway, I just imagine that if I can write a really powerful concerto to anchor my political operas the favelas will rise to overthrow capitalism, colonialism and white supremacy.

If anything, Trump is appealing to the paranoid schizo from social media, that regardless of the political spectrum, sees dog whistles and conspiracy theories in everything. ERA only allows itself to disregard this stuff when it comes from their political opponents, because otherwise they will analyze the driving plates of Cybertruck drivers or how certain numbers are appropriated by Nazis.

The real scary thing is how this behavior was prevalent since pre Trump and little has changed in certain communities.
