I watched an interview recently where Ione Skye talked about "experimentation outside the marriage". You mean you were a cheating whore? Just say that then, it's 2025, you weren't Marie Curie.

Quote:Whether those boisterous kids realize it or not, A Minecraft Movie connects them to what used to be an industrialized nation’s cultural heritage — and may still be even if outsourced manufacturing has removed actual places of industry.

A Minecraft Movie attacks the cultural inertia that has deadened contemporary Hollywood/America.

Hess’s fondness for American eccentrics (also displayed in Don Verdean and Masterminds) bewilders film-culture gatekeepers, but it finds unlikely devotees among youth unconcerned with the pseudo-sophistication of virtue-signaling films (whether Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse or Love, Simon) that attempt to teach social justice messages.

I'm sure the political situation in Kashmir deserves some nuance but why the fuck do these people always have to cheer when tourists are getting gunned down?

I love how these types of activists always start with "Listen [insert group of people], you do not get to..." as if they're the sole arbitrator of what can be said and done.

Nuance can get fucked.

If your cause is the one gunning innocent people down, you just might be the baddies here and you might deserve to get wiped off the map.

Why do they always demand that someone dictates all decisions for them?

The only way to get people to care about what they care about (which is mostly performative) is to hopefully make others feel guilty about whatever. It works because it's a signal to other idiots to demonstrate how much they care by parroting the concern. Everybody in your social groups repeating what you say after you said it, even if you're just repeating someone else, gives you the feeling of doing something and being a leader.

Quote:Someone just texted me this message and they are absolutely correct: “This is a bad look for the NFL. This feels like Kaepernick-level collusion.” All the hard work the NFL League Office puts in to eradicate these kinds of perceptions, only to turn around and watch as the OWNERS  look like they’re colluding, messing up everything. What has been done to Shedeur will outshine everything else in this draft. We’ll never believe this is about just talent evaluation again.

It feels out of touch with younger audiences, and especially center to right leaning youths. The artificial pushing of these “masculine but progressive” figures is hollow when the lack of authenticity is at odds with what people value. This gaudy, hedonistic, macho image he presents is of the Andrew Tate ilk.

It’s bizarre and I don’t entirely understand it but the biggest streamer is asmongold. A gross trash man with none of the superficial trappings the mainstream outlets are ascribing to “the right”.

in general I think the left is approximately 10000x more fixated on appearances than the right. Thats why they keep obsessing over Hasan big strong muscles. Its also why so many other “thought leaders” (read: retarded streamers) have such over the top production values and curated personal style.

Hasan isn’t some secret weapon to capture right-wing bros…He’s just has expanded reach with already insanely left-leaning dummies, because he looks how they think a secret weapon will look.

But right wing dudes are as content to watch asmongold eat roaches for hours or read ian miles cheong’s musings from under the bridge, as listen to Tate talking about beating women in his Bugatti.

I can’t find the patient zero post, but there’s discourse about how wanting peace on public transportation is fascism. They’re defending people yelling on speakerphone and blasting music.

Also something about fighting a gorilla.

This happens every couple of months. The best one was the discourse about how not wanting people masturbating on the subway is fascism.
