I was searching for music forums to see if there were any decent ones that had a fair amount of traffic. I discovered this one
https://forums.stevehoffman.tv/ No idea who Steve Hoffman is but I had a look through it. It's mostly old farts blatting on about The Beatles and other corpses. Anyway while I was scrolling I read a comment about another forum that was making fun of the users on that one. Interesting. So I had a look and it's literally a music version of The Bore - https://stereocentral.freeforums.net/ Is that weird? It feels weird. Sort of like coming out of the jungle and seeing another tribe of savages.

Listening to a panel discussion on space mining at a conference.
It's really pushing all my sci fi pleasure buttons. Totally geeking out listening to the NASA, Blue Origin, CSIRO and other massive nerds just talking about cool shit.

I have heard variations on this quote in different contexts my whole life (the Mask is the most famous one) and I have never known the source of it until now

While I'm glad Canada is finally being held accountable for its crimes, the smoke from the cleansing fires of freedom is getting a little annoying.

do you ever feel fuckin wack and anxious like something is about to happen/something bad is probably going to happen but you know nothing will happen and you should enjoy your precious moments before you have to sleep and work tomorrow but you keep thinking wack things on loop and fail to enjoy yourself

I take a few months away and suddenly there's a new forum. Where's the company newsletter so I can get caught up when I'm away?

Had a check accidentally deposit in savings instead of checking at the end of last week, thought I'd somehow spent $300 randomly this weekend without knowing it.

I was thinking about taking up hiking and going wild camping. So the first thing I did was go on Amazon and see how much half decent tents cost. Then I went on YT and looked at video reviews of ones that looked ok. Then I looked at videos about what equipment I'd need. Then I looked at videos about pitching tents. Then I looked at videos with basic tips for camping. Then somehow these videos showed up in the recommendation bar about campers being woken up at 3am in the middle of nowhere by the sound of someone walking around their tent. Or some random, obviously non hiking stranger just appearing out of the darkness. I am no longer thinking about going camping.

Should've just put "survival shotgun" and " defense while camping" in the youtube search bar.

Camping is very popular in Europe right now. It must be the plandemic, expensive flights and all those "Fucked by a stranger on a hike" and "Sharing a tent with my stepsister" type of videos. The number of camper vans I see on the road in this area is insane and not just old people anymore.
I never understood the appeal of leaving behind all your luxury to sleep in a tent or camper van when you can just rent a comfortable home on a Swiss mountain instead.

I thought it would be alright. Hike through some mountains. See the sights. Get away from the city, but apparently the country side is full of psychos wandering about in the middle of the night. So, nah.

if 30 million people go camping in a year and there are 5 spooky videos on youtube I think you're probably gonna be ok
I mean have you seen all the videos about people who get attacked while at home, maybe it'd be safer to go camping

True but at home any intruder would have to go through the wife and the cats before they got to me. I'd be long gone before then.

Saw a guy today wearing a pink shirt that said “RACISM” with a giant thumbs up picture under it. Like it was a sports team shirt. Presumably from Boston.

I bought a series X so I put my S up on Gumtree for 140 quid, which is a very reasonable price. You would not believe the amount of twats messaging me asking if I’d sell it cheaper
Edit. What 2 days selling a console on Gumtree looks like - "Hi. I could come and pick this up right now. I can only give you £80 because I can't test if it works or not." "Hi. Is this still availabe? Great. Can we meet up? Will you accept £60?" "£100 the now." "Does this come with Starfield?" "Would you swap for a PS4?" On and fucking on it goes. An endless wave of retards, gimps and the worst, most rubbish wannabe con artists. People so stupid I could probably hand over a box of rocks and they'd be so delighted at their con working they wouldn't check.

yeah when I picked up a few games on an online market place thing and paid the sellers quickly after some reasonable offers they were very surprised and gave me 5 star reviews.
Looked up some car prices today for shits and giggles after reading so much doom and gloom about cars being out of reach for the average worker and I was shocked. Small used cars that barely break 80hp cost up to €10k. Anything below €10k is basically junk. Used cars with equal performance as my 2014 Lancer (~150hp) start at €20k or more. Thankfully the mileage of my Lancer is just ~70k miles and these things are known to run up to 300k miles if not more. They don't make cars like these anymore.
