Slow realization from some conservatives that the campaign is little more than a scam for legal money. That Biden re-election call gonna hit on Wednesday evening like crack cocaine. I'm telling you, we're watching two scams run at the same time. Trump's "campaign" and the low quality polling job we're seeing from news orgs that keep dumping weird groups of unlikely/unreliable voters into their crosstabs.
During the debate we will finally be able to see how they perform head to head and they will have a chance to define their campaigns.
With no walls to build or pandemics to solve, both have so far done a terrible job with their campaign messages. Overall It'll be an election between old money (banks, corporations, hollywood, defense contractors) vs. new money (AI, crypto, tech, hedgefunds, influencers) and I think the latter currently has the momentum and will spend whatever it takes to get Trump back in the White House. I don't think the polls are wrong. When before it was just the fringes like InfoWars and Breitbart, now nearly every independent media outlet including the Joe Rogan Experience has turned into a campaign vehicle for Trump as have all the Crypto accounts, TikTok and X. And CNN doesn't really have the power anymore to cancel Logan Paul for hanging out with Trump. With regards to the latest news about Biden, I don't believe he's going to Camp David for 7 days to prep for the debate. It is more likely that Israel is about to attack Lebanon and there are no good options left. 1. Soft coup Bibi (could backfire and put a more hawkish leader in place instead) 2. Give Israel what it needs (would make the Hamas caucus very angry, risk a bigger war as Iran would support Hezbollah) 3. Don't give Israel what it needs (risk putting Israel at risk of a counter attack from Hezbollah, Hamas and Iran) 4. Intervene militarily (end up in another quackmire, risk an even bigger war with Hezbollah, Hamas and Iran)

I could be wrong obviously. Maybe Trump wins. He can with the right circumstances. But where we stand right now I think Biden is ahead and has too many ground advantages in MI/WI/PA.

this feels so far gone, to mistake the idea that events happening on the other side of the world that you feel bad about but can't remotely affect or even fully understand are what should determine your election to office
what the fuck are you going to do for your constituents, motherfucker, what do they need? this isn't even like we need to convince bush to stop bombing the middle east, this is a completely different nation that apparently the US is insufficiently condemning...? would they even stop if we did? should we expect to be able to exercise that kind of power over other sovereign nations, just be colonizers in that respect?

Israel is a foreign country, especially one in the "shithole" regions, so they can't even comprehend that it's a modern first world economy with leading technology enterprises. That's the hilarity of the whole AIPAC conspiracy theory. (((They))) have all this power and completely control our politics and media and they don't even get one day of U.S. government spending in return. Most of our political obsessives have no clue about the size and scope or even the operation of our government so they believe clearly absurd things like a few thousand dollars can completely control the opinion of a politician on every topic or that a few trips on a boat will convince a Supreme Court Justice who hasn't changed his views in 40 years to start ruling in specific ways or that husbands and wives should be thrown in jail for non-crimes the other spouse did. You start from your imagined utopia where everyone does what you want and then try to figure out who must have corrupted it from that perfection rather than ever learn about the limitations. You never even ask why politics exists in the first place or what its purpose is. You just imagine it as some magical force that can mold the world to what you want if people just had enough strength of will like you do.
