I went back to some pieces about the debate prep that describes how they practiced on the type of debate Trump had with Biden in 2020.
In 2020 Trump was agitated, interrupted him, fought with the hosts, didn't let Biden speak and made fun of his stutter. 
Most of Bidens answers seem to have been designed to poke the bear with a stick but the bear didn't bite.

They must've been horrified when Trump kept his calm and just tsundere pouted at the camera and let Biden speak longer until he fell over his own words.
Biden probably got stressed out because this was not the type of debate he prepped for and to be fair no one had ever seen Trump keep focus in a debate like this before.
(probably why they had Trump do a rally the day after so he could blow off steam with unhinged rants   )

The muting of mics and no audience was also a 2 way street, it was more difficult for Trump to interrupt Biden but on the other hand Biden couldn't interrupt Trump either. 
So most of the debate footage is Trump drumming up a list of issues unchallenged and Biden looking confused and horrified, followed by dreadful silence.

The media of all things is anti biden now? The cope is strong with this one.

It's kind of crazy how no one really knows how to handle this. 

After the initial: "Biden will show up jacked on drugs" MAGA is now running conspiracies where they claim Biden was cheating during the debate by wearing a secret ear piece that fed him lines or that he already got the questions from the moderators before the debate. However, Biden didn't win the debate so these prepared 'Biden cheated' comments look really dumb.

Meanwhile The White House is still maintaining the story that Biden is actually better than ever. You just have to see him between 10AM and 4PM after which he gets tired. 
Rumor has it that Jill Biden refuses to help to convince Joe to step aside because she doesn't want to give up their power and influence.

There also doesn't seem to be an easy way to crown Newsom. Aside from the DNC rules, if Biden is unfit to be a candidate he's also unfit to be President and if he resigns that would make Kamala Harris President and she isn't going to step aside. But if they somehow prevent her from ascending the throne, the speaker of the House Mike Johnson would become President.

Meanwhile Trump is very happy with the ratings of the "Monster" show and says Biden is coming out his trance

I think the best route for the Democrats would be to bite the bullet, have Biden resign and let Kamala be President and give her a 'powerful' VP like Cheney was to Bush. If they do that, Trump is suddenly the old man vs. the younger Democratic candidates. It's insane to watch Obama and others openly come out to defend Biden and his ability to lead but I guess that's all they can do if Joe refuses to step down.

I'm not sure whether this is an example of the danger of selecting a terrible VP or the danger these new dem aides and assistants pose to candidates. Kamala was a pretty normal, non-weird senator initially. She was rather cut throat during the Kavanaugh hearings but I didn't think that was a bad thing at the time; if anything it put her on the map. Then a few months before the 2020 primary began she started talking like a kindergarten teacher, pandering to black voters on cultural items, and making odd speeches. Followed by an embarrassing primary performance, including looking like an idiot during the debates. If you remember, everyone on that stage except for Biden (and Sanders lol) sounded like a complete loon. Everyone threw Obama's presidency under the bus despite him being the most popular politician in the country, and they all started peddling policies and phrases that are popular online but have no popularity in real life. 

Long story short: somebody clearly told Kamala she needed to be more likable and she took that to mean "talk to people like they are 5 years old." Her staff constantly has her doing goofy shit too. I don't get it. She had a perfect opportunity to simply LOOK competent under Biden and failed.

It's as incomprehensible as the appeal of "modern" Taylor Swift but from what I can tell, the women do like it. 
Her 'Save Democracy/Abortion' events gather bigger crowds than Biden, she gets lots of cheers and claps when she's on TV.
I would argue she's partially responsible for that better than expected midterms result with a high turn-out for the ladies. 

She also seems to mimic the Apple/Microsoft/Disney corpo style with her videos. 
Where either it's "sup girl" or "womensplaining". 

As far as I can tell she's pretty popular with the "yasss queen" and "none of your actions should have consequences" crowd.

I think Kamala would be a better candidate for the Democrats, simply because the Swifties will make a plan to vote for Kamala 4 months before the election and the crypto bros find out they need to register 2 days after the election. 

Even though he likes to pretend otherwise, Trump's support is still transactional. His voters want him to fix migration, lower gas prices, reduce inflation or deregulate crypto.

With women it's different, they are the biggest victims of crime caused by open borders. Yet most of them will still vote for liberals because of some misguided idea of righteousness or (dis)liking a candidate. 

Make no mistake ~80% of purchasing decisions are made by women. You are not the target audience for all those silly cringe ad campaigns or even most of the products you buy.
Some very smart people in the Democratic party are saying: "Why wouldn't 80% of women make voting decisions?".
