People were so in denial to ignore chart on this and even direct comparison showing different plate sizes so yeah, it was highly expected (at least for informed users).

I had some Cobalt blue plates so I decided to try them out on the Pro and I can confirm the bottom plates match the slim however the top plates do not match because while they're physically the same size. The teeth that connect to the system are and slightly different places. So you can't connect the top part. I'm only telling you all this so y'all know and don't bother ordering plates for the slim to use on the Pro.

One of my partners and I sent in our ballots earlier in Nebraska (not in Omaha unfortunately), so our 2+ for Kamala won't make any difference but we did vote for Osborn though! Also managed to get my partner's mom (who live in Arizona, she's in her late 70s) to vote for the very first time, going for Kamala! So we did our part. Our lives are on stake especially as we're gay and trans!

Anyways, going to say my feelings on the 2024 election, I don't think the election will be as close as most people are making it out to be and that Kamala's win will be clear compared to 2020 election between Biden and Trump. We should not be using polls as a predictor on election and that it have been wrong in past elections more often than people would like to admit to.

Yes, Trump and his MAGA loyalists are not going down without a fight so we'll see them get frivolous with lawsuits regarding the election that will continue til December at least, maybe even into January but they're not going to succeed. We just might have to be on our edge of the seats for little longer due to that but I'm confident that Kamala will win, and they're all prepared for this to happen as well.

So yeah we'll find out what happens in over a week now, hopefully that's the case.

Been catching up to this very page and I did not expect some people to be freaking out over Biden's comment when it's not even going to do anything. Frankly, it's pretty offensive to me as a non-white person reading that because it's being compared to orange man's racist and nazi MSG rally.

That being said, Kamala's closing speech earlier is marvelous! It's just making me more confident that she'll be the clear winner, and that election is not going to be as close As most people are making it out to be (but we'll see soon enough). Again, polls shouldn't used as a predictor (being treated more like an estimate) for an election.

I've gotten a couple comments on the other place that "game journalists are all woke and you know it" and I think the phenomenon they are actually observing is just that people with hard-right views are generally unpleasant to be around so of course normal people don't want to work with them.

What I’m concerned about is the ‘game being good’ part. Because I haven’t seen a thing yet to convince me of it from the High School Drama Club dialogue, to the overwrought environments, to the questionable gameplay.

Don't understand how so many of these AAA games get high scores with so poor/mediocre writing/dialogue/voice acting. 

I get some players are more gameplay focused, but we're talking about story heavy videogames. It's in the package.

This was answered months ago, but not really, people just genuinely did not care about the game mainstream wise, it was a paid multiplayer game with months of marketing, making animations, paying streamers to play the game who all refused to play the game after they stopped being played, a beta that got few people with them leaving shortly and a release that few people bought and many quickly stopped playing.

That argument would make more sense if not for Apex Legenda being around which is, if anything, more diverse than Concord, or Valorant and even Overwatch, it's main mascot may be white but is still LGBT and not the only character.

All of those are hits, granted, Concord has more with Destiny than typical hero shooters, but the fact they are so huge and make so much money while having characters that absolutely aren't just white straight men kinda implies that Concord having characters that Chuds hated is not why it flopped.

Something I think is interesting to notice is how a huge part of the whole Concord debacle is tied to how Steam makes the player count data available to third-party websites, such as SteamCharts. It makes it really difficult for online multiplayer games, given their necessity for a large and active gaming population. If a game launches to a low-population, making it public basically demolishes any chance of coming back, because no one else would want to pay for a game they already know will be hard to even find matches.

Ever notice how current online games almost never have an internal player population counter?

Not only it makes it harder for smaller or lesser-known multiplayer games, it generates a consolidation trend for online games, because players will tend to play games they know for a fact are already highly populated.

If you want to know why the games industry is dying on it's arse, dragon age is a great example.

We can't trust the reviews, because they actually are riddled with hidden agendas (and it's not just pronouns or twitter politics bullshit). Influencer marketing! We must save Bioware from closure! The culturewars!

The game looks bad, but it has a defence force. Beloved or goodwill invested IP, troubled development with reboots. Reviews shenanigans. It has just enough of a metascore for them to say 'see it wasn't terrible' on day 1. 

There's no way to actually know what's good anymore. The good stuff like monkey game and stellar blade? you can't play that because they're chud games for reasons. Dud games like Dragon Age? You have to like that because liking that wins you clout.

Look at the treatment skill up is getting. Actually reviews games? Has good opinions and a following? Takes his time and is even handed? No he's now a nazi because you can't actually see why but trust me bro.

Same with Starfield, redfall, halo infinite etc etc.

Many of the games media have connections with those companies that goes beyond professional, like how many of us are actually surprised that Laura Kate Dale has a gaming writing credit now?

I also not going to say this is totally a bad thing or that we don’t get on the hype once in a while or get proven wrong (like Silent Hill 2 and Shadow Generations). But many of us are cynics about this because this feels like a repeat of Mass Effect Andromeda (got decentish scores… people hate it) and people seem more concerned of BioWare surviving than BioWare doing good again.

I liked Inquisition but I can totally see why many hated it, and this seems to doubling down the most shitty aspects that people disliked of that game.
