You have enough of a conservative base already, then add to it people struggling economically who might not be conservative politically but naively blame the incumbent government for their woes, or indeed blame those that Trump promises to remove from the country. It is exactly what will happen to the UK in 4 or so years time when the next election comes around. The world is moving right.
