My parents would have to do something truly heinous for me to cut them out completely. They did vote for Trump. They have a Trump sign in their yard. They have bigoted views. Unfortunately, a lot of people do. I do not associate with those people if I don't have to but they are my family and have been for me when I needed them most.

I totally disengage from politics when I'm with them and if they start bringing it up I just get up and leave tbh. We used to have arguments, both civil and screaming matches. We will never see eye to eye, it has been discussed for years, at this point it's just accept it or stop seeing them and I won't stop seeing them.
