I think ERA is overestimating how much the normal people care about the stuff they consider “woke” or care about Liz Cheney getting in the bandwagon.

But they are also in a dangerous path given that the electorate has showed they don’t care about norms but vibes. So I fear your candidates moving forward are going to be Trump and AOC like.

In some ways I prefer the honesty of Trump and AOC. I can trace a lot of that forum or that type of "left" insanity back to their treatment of Obama and Hillary as "normal" or even awesome. From a people who constantly lecture everyone else about normalizing things. I'm starting to wonder if I should even really keep giving them a pass for W. Bush since they were clearly just repeating what people told them in retrospect.

I mean, I have no love for members of the state but I keep waiting for Trump (or Biden) to do something as blatantly bad as W. Bush or Obama did that everyone treats as just fine. Everyone's been promising me and yet they never deliver. Total blue balls. As Kamala reminded us while in the middle of trying to scare us about him, Trump couldn't even build his stupid fucking wall. I was supposed to be outraged at Trump's incompetency at sending Rudy to fail at conducting foreign policy like I didn't remember Libya. Or or or or or

Then you've got the problem of implementing this on any moderately large scale, and it all falls apart. This stuff works for small Oneida-like communities (who then use the capitalist system to fund themselves by making silverware and selling it)

That came later after the planned community failed. Pretty much all the American utopian communities failed at that small community scale. Ironically, usually because of sex/relationships. A few of them could have theoretically continued even with the bad economics but the sex inequalities broke them up first. (Sex inequalities in this case being that everyone was supposed to have free sex with everyone else, but the "community wives" gravitated mostly to a few men, typically those with power.)

To me malicious incompetence is not something that people should risk, but that is on you guys. (And my own country men, to be fair)
