Quote:We're Going To Put The Most Qualified People In Power: That means straight, Christian White men with children that are biologically theirs. You need DEI/affirmative action policies that favor dipshit blacks over competent Whites because blacks can't compete. When you say that abolishing DEI is White supremacy and the cisheteropatriarchy or whatever, you're actually correct, just not for the reasons you think. Meritocracy is de facto pro-White, pro-male, and pro-straight, because Whites are just better than blacks, men are just better than women, and straights are just better than fags. I'd prefer it that if someone goes full account suicide they then wouldn't also end up confirming every stereotype about Trumpers

As some posters pointed out, Thanksgiving isn't a negative holiday for Native Americans. It's about their good faith, about their helping others, about what could have peacefully been, etc.
The "progressives" only hate it because they reflexively hate anything that reminds them of America's total victory. Nepenthe's all about neighborhood pods now but is screeching at white people to overthrow a holiday all about communal charity for your fellow man. The Native Americans established a neighborhood pod for the struggling Pilgrims.

Also, the Pilgrims weren't "white" colonialists. They were persecuted minorities, marginalized people of Europe, refugees from cishet oppression, etc.
Nobody in Europe thought this was going to be some profitable colonies to extract resources from, it was a dumping ground.

The only people they'll be impressing by revealing the true history of thanksgiving are going to be their tablemates at the children's table.

Again, an instance where they have no concept of history. The First Thanksgiving was over a century after Columbus. It was nearly a century after Cortes died. The Mayflower had less than a hundred colonists. They erase all of history to make it seem like Columbus stumbled across the Caribbean, then a bunch of whites busted their ass across the sea to setup Boston and steal all the wealth. (By the time the Massachusetts Bay Company was established there were barely any Native Americans in the area (no more than a couple thousand), the already small population had mostly died off decades earlier. Plus it's Boston, it fucking sucked if you could just head south!)
By the time it became a state, 150 years later, there were only 300,000 people in all of Massachusetts. This was 10% of all Americans across the entire set of Thirteen Colonies! We're talking about 300 years of events here. That themselves happened nearly 300 years ago. Yeah, definitely hold your uncle and nieces responsible for this shit.

You can't hold Black Americans responsible (except Kamala) but you can hold white American responsible even though:
-The originals were persecuted minorities who fled oppression. -The bulk of white American lineages probably came later, especially any Irish, Italians, etc. well after both the Founding and Black Americans came. -Not a single white person alive today did anything back then. -Not a single white person alive today could "remedy" anything about any crimes from back then. -There's more Native Americans alive today than back then, and they're collectively far wealthier. -Black Americans continue to massively benefit from the "colonialism" that occurred.

Notice how the two people closest to Native American people in that entire thread said that Thanksgiving was completely fine:
WardFail wrote:as someone with Indigenous and European Spanish ancestry (because... yeah), this whole thread is fucking embarrassing. smh. Stick wrote:It's interesting, I work for a Nation Tribe, and they very much still treat Thanksgiving as a holiday to be celebrated. They are proud of their heritage and history, doing what they can to preserve the culture as much as possible, however, Thanksgiving is still seen as a time to celebrate and give thanks to a lot of them. I also believe that it's been something that is deeply rooted in our culture, so I'm not sure if they would ever change anything at this point. A lot of the people now that are Tribe members are of mixed descent, so I imagine the ideas and beliefs have become intertwined, changed, or disregarded as people in the area and the state have become more diverse. That's not to say all of the Natives of the Tribe I work for feel that way, but just talking to people about it, many of the members just talk about the food they are going to eat and what their plans are for the day, rarely, if ever, talking about the awful history that comes with this particular holiday. They were completely ignored. The only people getting mad and upset about Thanksgiving as a concept were terminally online white liberals and two larping black socialists.
