You know, i've noticed for all the talk about toxicity from these threads, it is usually the ones who cry for easy mode that seem to be the toxic ones.

Frankly, after 15 years of the games staying the path, growing in popularity, and have people beating them with donkey konga bongos, how is this an argument anymore. If anything I think they know this and the whining is about flattening what’s unique about the franchise and ruining it for normal people.

I just remember Shaun's latest video about Stellar Blade and the anti-woke gamer crowd: They don't want their games to cater to a diverse crowd, they want their games to cater only to them.

I think the same applies here. The gamers who do not want difficulty/accessibility options want to feel like the game was made only for them and balk at the idea that their community expanded to include "the casuals"

I understand where she is coming from but I would say freelancing is probably more work than just working a 9 - 5 job at Sony.
Instead of quitting I would've looked into working 4 days instead of 5 or something.

With freelancing there is still the 'work' but also finding clients, making deals, filing taxes etc. etc. and instead of a single project she'll likely have to tackle more projects at the same time.

It sounds good on paper but the level of 'freedom' you'll have as a freelancer usually depends on how much money you can make.

I don't know how they don't understand that "trying to appeal to everyone" is how you arrive at the bland as fuck writing from Spiderman 2 and Veilguard.
