If you're a trans woman with any conviction for a violent or sexual offense, or have a penis, you go to the men's prison regardless of a Gender Recognition Certificate
If you do have a GRC (which requires all of this and is currently being decided in court if it even matters) you will be held separately within the men's prison
If you've had bottom surgery but don't have a GRC, you're still sent to the men's prison
If you're a trans man you're sent to the prison of your legal gender

There's also the unspoken fact beneath all this posturing isn't efforts to prevent sexual abuse within the prison system. Instead it's that they operate under the barbaric belief that anyone they deem to be a man who is also in the prison system deserves to be sexually assaulted or raped. That's just part of the prison culture and the punishment of being sent to a men's prison.

There's also that little problem of finding places to keep trans women in a separate space while the prison system is, y'know, full. Which is probably why you need a GRC to be recognised as a trans woman, they know full well there's remarkably few, if any trans women with a GRC in the prison system, its just the thinnest veneer of performing respect for trans women while calling them all dangerous men.

Having a penis confirmed to be on par with having a violent or sexual offense in the eyes of the British government. I'd say the honesty is refreshing but I'd be lying.

Ive had to ask strangers for money on a dozen different occasions this last year and it is the worst, most humiliating feeling in the world. Each instance I needed food or fuel and I had no other financial options available.

There were several times when my SNAP benefits were messed up and I went 3-4 days without eating simply bc I would rather not eat than experience the shame.

That said, Ive been scammed like this myself too, and sometimes it as really blatant.

But how do you find yourself begging for money "on a dozen different occasions in the last year" and not think...damn, maybe I should make a friend or reconnect with family?

There were several times when my SNAP benefits were messed up and I went 3-4 days without eating simply bc I would rather not eat than experience the shame.

That said, Ive been scammed like this myself too, and sometimes it as really blatant.

It's interesting because plenty of other games have covered terrorism and allow you to do some pretty heinous shit to innocent people in the course of the game, but the feeling I get from that game is it's presented as a righteous action to be celebrated rather than something at least morally grey like most other games.
