Yeah it's going to take absolute, undeniable, catastrophic disaster. And even then, it does seem unlikely. People are totally corralled and the fascists fully know it.

Just look at this forum. It's probably one of the very few "intellectual" spaces on the internet where there's a collective of people who truly get what's going on here. Where numbers of people rightfully call what's happening what it truly is. Yet look at how many people are loudly saying "I AM GOING OSTRICH MODE! MUST LOOK AWAY!" willful delusion/ignorance.

It speaks to just how over it all is. Noone is going to stick their necks out, at all. If this is a lot of the prevailing attitude around these parts, just think about the masses/elsewhere. People are going to be so complicit/compliant.

It's incredible how closely this follows the rise of fascism in 1930s Europe.

The majority of Germans weren't nazis. The nazis came to power because they were more unscrupulous than their opponents and because a big portion of the population closed their eyes or just did not care enough to try and keep them out of power.

When they started doing really bad shit, again, a lot of people closed their eyes because "what can you do?" and "well, it's not affecting me yet". And as more and more institutions became taken over by the fascists it was finally impossible to form any solid resistance from within because the state had too firm a hold on everything.

This is a lot like that. This kind of thing can only be stopped from within in the early stages. Especially because after that, the only way to save things is through violence and here the real kicker comes in since fascists have a much better capacity for that.

The next step in the fascist playbook will be taking over institutions that monitor US citizens. Ontop of doing crime/terror surveilance they will start monitoring political dissidents which in time will be reclassified as criminal acts and then the arrests will start and people will gradually become afraid of criticizing the regime.


(Apologies for the bleak analysis, but the historical parrallels are so blatant. Humans haven't changed one bit. And if it scares anyone, GOOD. That's what's needed to combat complacency. You guys should be very scared and very angry and fight this every step of the way. Hopefully some of the states seceede before all of them are under fascist controll)
