Started playing Forspoken today. Did people just hate this game because it stars a tall black woman with a strong personality?

I think it's more because everyone curious about it played the demo and determined that it fucking sucked.

Dude says one word in the trailer and people are already asking for him to be cut or saying they won't buy the game because of this character. Really weird reaction from some folks around here.

This forum reacts the same way actual racist/reactionary gaming forums do, except they'd say the same thing about a POC protag. A ton of posts about Jason's ethnicity and politics already and as you said, we know nothing about him.

It's a wonderful thing for them to get into. There's tons of shit to tie up your kids up with in a Buc'ees while you charge your car and it's not like they're either short on space or far from any large highway. You must take into account how MCU haters carry online hate campaigns against these movies in social media, spreading misinformation and over-exaggerating some faults that are not actually big deals. They've sabotaged two movies this years. I think we must defend Deadpool 3 at all costs.

I'm probably the only person still defending Ant-Man, I think haters of the character have tried to sabotage his movies for a while and finally succeeded this year. The hate against Quantumania is overblown, but they managed to make it "look cool" to bash the movie endlessly on social media.
