Some questions for B-Dubs and his fellow staff members regarding the allegations made on the previous page:

    Is it true that the site Admin believes that Israel should no longer exist? Yes or no?
    If they do hold the position that Israel should no longer exist, I would be grateful if they could come in here and explain their stance.
    If they don't hold the position that Israel should no longer exist, then the Admin in question (or a fellow staff member) should probably clarify their position before the allegations become toxic.
    Lastly, is the belief that Israel should no longer exist held by any other members of staff? If so, are B-Dubs and the site owners aware of this? And are they happy for staff member(s) to hold this stance on Israel?

The show was already getting a ton of hate from leftists because the fan favorite character that was basically “Bender if he was a unfunny demon slut” was revealed to be a Sexual Abuse survivor in the series proper. 

The pilot was terrible, so I didn’t watch the series (musicals and tumblr humor is not for me).

Sorry to derail a bit, but this attitude really doesn't stand up to any scrutiny, especially when it comes with a huge amount of smug "I'm better than you all" attitude.

Separating the art from the artist is principally about dead people. It's about understanding the historical context of figures in our past, and how we can split the creator from the creation, That is wildly different to supporting the works of a living artist who is actively engaged in discrimination. Everytime you buy or watch a Harry Potter product, you are directly contributing towards anti-trans activity, and funding. You are giving your money to hurt trans people. Same with Orson Scott Card and gay people.

All you are effectively saying is "My own pleasures matter more than the lives of people different to me". Not reading a book or watching a film is one of the easiest sacrifices it's possible to make in our lives, and yet you act like its a moral sin to *not* give money to bigots. This isn't an election where someone has to win, it's not like someone has a gun to your head. Just *don't give money to racists and bigots*.

Like this for example, what are they talking about? The idea of separating the artist and the art has nothing to do with them being dead, “the artist is dead” post modernist thinking wasn’t literally dead, it was saying that the value and meaning found in art doesn’t come from the creator but instead what the reader/viewer/consumer finds in it. IE that the work itself isn’t inherently art, but only art when someone finds it to be art. 

Edit: and the original ideas of “separating the art from the artist” comes from “new criticism” of the 1920s where the idea was that a work must be timeless and enjoyable by anyone from any time period for it to be truly good, IE separated from its creator it should stand on its own. Again, nothing to do with death of the author in a literal sense.
