The more we overlook hornier games like Stellar Blade, and at least to me in any case, the more we're sending mixed messages like "we'll let some things slip because they're not nearly as bad as [x]" type scenarios.

Let's look at what Stellar Blade actually is- an action game with an attractive female protagonist.  I'm not even touching on that first part because it's so ridiculous.   Is it "horny?"  Well, unless there's specifically scenes of "OMG LOOK AT MY BOOBA TEE HEE," then no.  Is it promoting the sexualization of minors?  Nope, you're playing as an adult.  Is it a harmful perception of women?  I don't see how given that the main character is a certifiable bad-ass one-woman army going around killing monstrous aliens.  She's not parading around saying "look at meeee!"  The character is wearing skin-tight suits and/or showing pantsu~, so yes, it is sexist in the sense that the outfits were clearly made to be ogled.  If you don't like that, don't buy it.  This is resetera we're talking about, so it's not like any of these people screaming over this game would buy it anyway regardless of what its content is.  Meanwhile the silent majority of the forum will all be playing it.

What do you do in a bar?


Hi guys, it might sound weird, but I have never been to a bar although I am 28. FYI I have social anxiety and my therapist thinks I might be autistic so I'm pretty terrible when it comes to social skills. I also don't drink which I assume is fine. A group of people with whom I am volunteering have invited me to go to a bar with them and I said yes. The problem is that I don't know how anything in a bar works. Like if you want to order something, are there waiters like in a restaurant? Am I supposed to sit beside random people and talk to them? Is it going to be weird if I don't drink while the rest of the group drinks and generally what non-alcoholic options are available?

I said it a few pages ago, but something broke with Dantes. He said at some point that he's half white half brown of some sort, I think Pakistani. I'm not sure how he negotiated that into an Egypt fascination but he's turned from LOTR Loremaster to r/mildlyinteresting bot.

This happened to me while I was playing bayonetta 2. I was so embarrassed playing it while my wife in the room.

I honestly couldn't play it after that, lol. I will def not be supporting this game, despite any depth present with combat or its world. I'm good. Lots of great games to play.

I haven't played the game, I confess to Rubin, because I wouldn't want to be caught playing it by my wife or my son. It would be embarrassing.

While most reviews for the game were positive, Edge Magazine seems to have felt the same way when they gave the game a relatively low score in their review, calling the title a "fratboyish endorsement of crime and female degradation, devoid of any conscience or commentary."

Saints Row the Third isn't a bad game, but it's not the sort I'd want to play, I tell Rubin.
