Apart from Astrobot the whole thing was shite. Xbox/Sony have been so bad this gen I'm thinking Switch 2 and PC might be the only sensible option.

Nintendo needs to get back to first party games being smoothly polished and playing like butter imho. Hopefully Switch 2 gives them some headroom but playing switch games, even the “Nintendo” games can be jarring to say the least.

If you use uBlock Origin you can open it up, go to dashboard, go to My Filters, then paste these rules in:

Every fucking university knows there's legit CCP scum coming in as students and has been for fifty years. They get sent back because they don't give a shit about following any rules at all. China actually hates this too, they want them here learning or stealing patents, not turning into campus crime lords. It's not Sinophobia, it's because the Party princes are shitbags completely out of disproportion to students from everywhere else. It's actually protection for the other Chinese students because the princes can order them around with threats and they can't report it to the Party let alone American officials. You will know these fuckers when you meet them, most of them literally act like gangsters crossed with bureaucrats.

I don't know the story about these expulsions and don't care to find out the actual reasons, nor do I believe the cops like these idiots, but that's the reality of Chinese students. And yeah, twenty across the whole country is fucking nothing. I wouldn't be surprised if the Biden Administration was just using the end of the semester to get rid of a bunch of them so it all lined up.

The other possibility? The CCP had them blocked from coming back for being anti-CCP. But they aren't ready for that conversation.

I have to imagine it's the case but there's probably just so many fewer of them. And also less likely they can create fiefs of people from their country. Not that ResetERA.com cares about those students or immigrants who live in the area.

Standard disclaimers that they should all be considered innocent and their cases evaluated individually. Just that, well, it's not exactly a surprise to hear about Chinese students who can't come back and the reasons why aren't said but you know it's most likely one of two reasons. I've had every single piece of Nintendo hardware except the Virtual Boy (this includes Gameboy micro and multiple GBAs, DSs and 3DSs). The only one that doesn't work right now is my original Gameboy and that's because some batteries leaked. My Switch is a day 1 version and it's never had an issue.

The only hardware I had to get repaired was my N64 and that was because a lighting strike fried the power adaptor (which Nintendo replaced for free) and some Joy-Cons (stick drift - again repaired for free).

All of my other controllers work fine including N64 and GC.

On the other hand, my PS1 is dead, I had to replace my original PS3 after a month and I've got more broken and drifting PlayStation controllers than working ones.

What in the fuck are you doing to your Switch to kill it after 3 years?

I've never understood it either. Playroom was the definition of a tech demo that didn't hold my attention past the two and a half hours it took to beat it at my friend's house. The gameplay isn't deep, the level design isn't interesting, the combat is borderline ephemeral. It just feels like an utterly stock platformer.

What is it that draws people to Astro Bot aside from the fanservice jokes?

Wii's were pretty garbage, gobs of them before a certain point have bad GPU's and bluetooth adapters. The airflow is shit so the thing will overheat and those will die.

GPU's die a slow death but if the bluetooth dies it won't boot because that's the first check the system does.

I had such shit trouble with Wii's that I eventually said fuck it and got a PC bluetooth adapter and USB sensor bar because I resolved only to finish everything on Dolphin. (I actually legitimately had ripped everything to a hard drive to play off on the actual Wii already.)

I never did but that's beside the point.

Of course, like the only actual good Wii game is Order Up!!

What I mean is everything else doesn't need the Wii, regular controller would be fine. As Nintendo has shown with most of them already. Or de Blob which now even has PC ports. I'm sure I'm missing something but like Mario Galaxy, Zeldas, RE4, etc. are all like this. Metroid Prime 3 isn't only because Nintendo has never ported it but you can't tell me they couldn't figure out the whole two waggle moves in the game.
