there are games that are considered flops, that still managed to have more people connected and playing on Day 1, than the number of people estimated to have bought Concord at all. on PC, this game had 600 players playing at once at its peak. those are 'unmarketed indie game' numbers. very bad news for an ostensibly AAA multiplayer game meant to spearhead a publisher's entrance into a space as competitive as this. it flopped to a degree that I don't think anyone saw coming. lots of people thought this game wouldn't make it, but nobody expected this. the market completely and utterly rejected this game

I have a friend who worked on this game, he was promoting it and trying to get people to play it. I felt bad cause I knew this was going to be the outcome, wild so many consumers could see this happening but the studio and Sony didn't. Just no way for a game like this to succeed when most of these games are f2p. I did play the beta and was enjoying myself but none of my friends gave it a shot.
