So now it's unforgivable to just want the character to have the same voice they always had? On top of that, isn't the character supposed to be asian, at least going by the name, so wouldn't the new voice not have been a proper fit either?

Is a mix bag with Bleach. Lore wise, there is a reason why they have Asian names even if they are not necessarily Asian. 

Still stupid thing to be mad about it, given that I doubt Japan cares enough in this case to cast people  because ethnic and racial sensibilities  for the Japanese VA.

Did the xbox 360 HD DVD add on require similar checks or was that just a simpler time with propriety connection etc
