People like this are a threat to others and as such should be locked up. Simple as that.

Taxes should be spent 1) rehabilitating and/or 2) punishing/secluding individuals that are a danger to themselves or others. Doesn't matter if the individual that is committing the crime is doing so against a billionaire or a broke mfer.

Or, we could, you know, have much harsher penalties for all stalkers in the first place, so they get locked up and are no longer stalking anyone regardless of their celebrity status.

I'm sure the women who don't have Taylor Swift's resources will take comfort in this.

She is a tax payer and deserves protection just like every other citizen.

Doesn't surprise me, I have know people who had to deal with similar situations and the law and/or the police are fucking worthless. Unless the person gets violent they just get a slap on the wrist. Once the person was taken away by the police and was back something like 6 hours later.

Police stay useless.

It's times like these I'm reminded to thank god for the police.

I didn't agree with the sticky of it originally, but having it stickied for that long and then just unsticky it is clearly worse at this point. Everything has only gotten worse since then, and putting it just in regular threads makes it essentially invisible now.

Yeah, initially I thought a sticky might be a good idea, but the result was lackluster. Having it silently ripped away like that was awful to see though. I feel like the staff could probably do something way better about this than just a stickied thread though, but unfortunately it's not my call to make.

I just want to say, I understand that some of the people reading this thread, or any of the other uncountable amounts of threads regarding trans genocide, may have trouble trying to find the right words to say and rather not say anything. But at least I myself would appreciate basically anything. There is no use for us trans people to just keep discussing these things just among ourselves. We know how bad they are, but we are too few to make any changes alone.

You can't support us in silence, please just generate any discussion and make it impossible for the people that actually want us dead to act like they are the majority. They are not. Not for now at least. And people need to be reminded of that.

I'm not speaking on behalf of anyone but myself on this, but even a simple gesture of all of you to show support would mean the world to me. I try to be endlessly hopeful, but the ever growing silence began to even drain my tank. But I don't want to lose hope that you all are actually there.
