That said I think there is an easily challenged problem with the language and I hope that the ACLU are able to get kids the medication they need ASAP because of it.

It bans drugs than can sterilize and puberty blockers don't. Heck, HRT only temporarily makes you infertile. As such I think there's a good chance it only does minimal harm before medications resume. That's what I am hoping.

Frankly though much worse is coming that will effect all trans kids whatever happens with this bill.

He could not sign it, say that he isn't signing it because of the anti trans language and then let Congress push it through with their veto proof majority. Not like he has to worry about appealing to "moderates" anymore.

That's the problem, Congress won't override his veto. They'll let this bill die and then the incoming Republican trifecta will pass a far worse bill. Passing a bad bill to prevent a worse bill from being passed is the correct choice for a departing president seeking to reduce the harm of the incoming administration

For anyone opposed to this, yes, it's bad. But he also could not veto it as it passed Congress with a supermajority. The blame is 100% on Congress in this case, not Biden. And better to pass now than in a few months... considering the changes that could be made.

If you don't have boners for a long time (say 4 or 5 years), your dick and balls shrink and HRT basically shuts everything down in that department. You're giving yourself an erectile dysfunction. When you take it during puberty, you'll likely end up with a micro penis at the end. So yes, while you may regain your ability to create sperm and are technically not infertile, you won't be able to undo the other damage. And because a lot of this stuff is neurological monkey brain there is no real cure either(in fact if you stress about it, it'll make it worse) and very little research is done on this topic. They don't tell you this, because eewww and too much information but it's basically like any muscle that needs to be trained and used to keep it in good shape. But unlike your other muscles it also involves a complex chemical reaction in your brain that either works or doesn't.

I took roaccutane for 2 years to clean up a skin issue triggered by the COVID vaccine, low dose thus low risk but it does fuck up your hormones and receptors in time (you should look up post accutane syndrome on Reddit for shits and giggles). It's also a very slow process that you're not really aware of until after you stop taking it. Thankfully in my case everything was completely restored within 3 months(!) after I quit. But that recovery process also really fucks you up, because first your libido returns (you basically speedrun puberty) but the physical recovery happens later and starts slow (basically a drunk boner). When I brought it up at the final check-up I expected that it was a simple fix like taking a testosteron shot or whatever. But the reality is that there is no replacement for the complicated chemical reactions in your brain.

So whatever the fuck you do, never assume that this is just a matter of copy pasting some genitals like a videogame or that it can be easily fixed.
If it does not recover on its own and if you don't find ways to trigger your monkey brain on time, you're completely fucked.

And what none of the rainbow people will ever admit to you is that THIS is the main reason they all blow their brains out at some point because the pills, pretty colors and delusions can only supress it for so long. You're basically a drug addict in a state of total panic bathing in sweat at 4AM that can't get their high. I was like that for just 1 week and never felt so nauseous, empty, depressed and disoriented in my life.

My vote is for the gaming community (but mostly GG2.0).

It's deeply upsetting to see so many here immediately voting for Concord as the fail of the year. Concord may have failed on its own merit, but we'll never truly know, because GG2.0 was so fucking relentless from day fucking one. So much so, that it poisoned many otherwise normal folks to the point where their hate campaign was a resounding success. Just today, we have Kyle Bosman taking another swing at the game before parroting the completely unverified "biggest flop of all time" claim (again).

Remember that? How Colin Moriarty said "I talked to one person who said it cost $400M" and then that completely unverified claim is just considered the truth, everywhere? That's all it took for everyone else to run with it. And like, I already hated GG, but, the way the larger gaming community tagged along to take down Concord and Firewalk has completely fucked up the way I look at a lot of people and communities I used to respect. And no, I refuse the notion that it was *just* the business model or artstyle. We can accept that online bros had a major impact on Trump's victory, but, they had no impact on multiple games that released this year?

And it's only getting worse. Online moderation is seemingly abandoned on most sites. False information, sexism, and racism is on full blast on pretty much all major social media networks.

The idea that people could only be thinking that Concord isn't good was because they fell for a hate campaign is absurd.

I specifically said that I reject that it had no real impact, not that it was the only driver.

I do, however straight up disagree that we have reason to believe anything considering that, unless I missed it, no one from Sony or Firewalk have confirmed anything outside the game not reaching an audience. There are some plausible theories, but, I haven't seen any of them proven. If I'm wrong, though, I'm happy to take the L.

I'm not at all saying it wasn't a massive failure, but, I would like to think we would have concrete data before making claims like "biggest flop of all time."
