I can't imagine what those are. What even is toxic over there? Especially compared to a site with an actual toxic userbase like ResetERA.com or Bluesky. There's hardly any fighting or undermining of discussion that I've seen. Maybe I just don't know about and haven't looked in the best threads.

Maybe their boring low brow racism would strike me more as "toxic" and "unethical" if every site anyone will name as superior like the above two or Twitter wasn't and hasn't been awash in "acceptable" racism forever. And I'm not talking about towards whites, who deserve it.

I first became aware of Kiwi Farms when that nutcase shot 50+ Muslims in the mosques in New Zealand and there was all that controversy around Kiwi hosting (did they host or just link?) the videos and refusing to take them down. 

Kind of coloured my impressions of the people there for a long time.

My impressions since is that they're pretty typical internet edgelords with a bit of a code of ethics. I have nothing good nor bad to say about them. I think we're a slightly more tasteful community and we have bigger hogs.

much more minor than the NZ thing, the site recently went down because it was the only place online that had the Destiny dick sucking video (I have no idea why anyone wanted to watch this)

sometimes the things they archive are instrumental in getting bad people charged with crimes, like groups involved with horrific zoophilia or monkey torture

I don't condone anyone laughing at a murder video, but it exists independently of peoples' commentary on it

if hosting it should be illegal, then make it illegal, or if it's too naughty for your citizens to see then build a segregated internet where they can't read those awful mean things the Americans say

but you don't get to police the internet outside your jurisdiction

same here, I only lurk there rarely, I just feel strongly that places like that have a right to exist, and eroding that means eroding anything critical of the mainstream, such as ovarit or hell even resetera itself which is often equally anti-establishment in the other direction
