I love movies and I rewatch old movies a lot. I also explore the vast catalog of movies. I also like TV too. And do the same there. I'm currently doing a Sopranos rewatch. And I'm just floored. Regular people. Not just the leads, but everyone. This is in stark contrast to many productions today.

But this is not just in movies, but also in music, which is entertainment too. Especially popular music. I think of a people like Bob Dylan, a bonafide genuis, but could he even break out today?

I get it, pretty people are nice to look at. But art is very influential and just seeing pretty people all the time, dominate media, kinda messes people brains. An example, I saw this clip of this Netflix show, The Later Daters. One guy, he had to be in his mid 60s asking his matchmakers that his type is Salma Hayek. Dude, be realistic lol. Social media could have an affect here too! But social media is also downstream of art. Noticed he said Salma Hayek on not some random IG model.

That said, my media is varied, I do see more with American productions. I see British productions have fewer gorgeous people in them, especially BBC stuff.
