Almost all their moral reasoning is based around quickly identifying an "oppressor" and pledging non-questioning loyalty to the "victims" no matter what along with an insistence that all situations can easily be placed into stark Good Guy vs. Bad Guy zero sum analysis that slowly reveals an underlying "system" that determines all existence. It's just basic theory, chud. 

This is also why it's so easy to predict and parody their reactions and positions before even seeing them. It's entirely reflexive based on a single binary relationship to which they refuse any contrasting information in their understanding.

They've been throwing out Sinophobia bans for criticizing anything about China for years. It's because they've been browbeat into identifying foreigners with their states, so they imagine a criticism of China is somehow criticism of all Chinese people specifically and not comments about the CCP or Chinese culture. That last one is especially fraught to do on there because they believe criticism of foreign cultures is racist. Even though Chinese culture is an ancient complex one that is also blatantly authoritarian, misogynistic, etc. Since it's not Western it must be beyond criticism by Westerners or else you're a xenophobe.

Note however that Westerners who praise the CCP or the non-progressive aspects of Chinese culture and are then rebuked by Chinese posters never get banned.

He says and does inappropriate things and doesn't understand boundaries but it really doesn't seem like a power thing to me. This is one reason I don't really buy Carroll's story at the same time I believe he's probably inappropriately touched tons of women. This is a man who openly awkwardly kisses women in public and has for decades, but a surprising number of them understand it as some weird thing that's not entirely sexual or dominance based.
