At the time I was convinced it was another hoax, but I should have understood that mental health should never be taken lightly or joked about under any circumstances. I fucked up. I’m not the biggest Gaiman fan, is just this particularly Me Too hurts given that associated him and his generation of comic writers to a happier time in my life.  

I knew most of them were posers, but their creative input was good and inspired others. It will be 8 years this October that ResetEra has existed; we were deep into the 1st Trump Presidency, the Switch had released a few months' prior, we were pre-COVID...times were (ever so slightly) less crazy. But times change, people change, communities change.

Currently, over on the Constructive Community Discussion 2024 thread, there is an ongoing discussion with regards to the atmosphere of the forum as a whole, how to improve it, how to improve posting quality, reduce snark/drivebys and so on. If you have time, I recommend you give it a read through!

With that in mind, I feel that before addressing those issues, we would be best suited to understand as a community why we as individuals come here, as varying reasons for visiting the site may illicit varying responses for how best to 'improve' the forum as a whole.

I've tried to include the 'main/most common' reasons that one may want to give, though if you would like to provide your response and expand upon it, then please be my guest!
I've also done Single choice voting, to encourage users to select a primary response, but again please feel free to follow-up with secondary drivers!
