Now that you're personally afraid, and in conditions that are not as bad as they could be (if you've not been shot at by the IDF, or trying to escape terror and slavery in the DRC, then what the fuck are you afraid of?) instead of understanding this is the time for increased solidarity in order to survive, you're taking your ball and going home.

"I gotta focus on me and mine." When the fuck are you gonna focus on your community? When the fuck are you going to come together? It's not when conditions are stable, and it's not when conditions are deteriorated. So when?

My point was that we can all sit here pontificating but the reality is that we're in more danger than we were in the past.

I'm a black woman and I'm well aware of how fucked the US is. I advocate for trans rights even in spaces where others only focus on the LGB parts. I emphasize that we have a lot to learn from trans people in terms of brushing out of gender binaries. This is based on personal experience and I will always be indebted to the trans community. I've never endorsed the carceral state. I participated in a grassroots effort to end gerrymandering in my state that has made it noticably better in just 6 years.

I feel like you're putting things on me that just aren't there.

And yes, I'm going to focus on protecting my elderly parents who have done everything in their power to make sure their kids lived a better life than they did. I'm not above fleeing to a safer country if conditions get bad enough. I wasn't born in the US but always appreciated the opportunities it gave me and I'm beyond disheartened to see most American voters (who voted for Trump) don't appreciate their own country at all.

But seriously, the last part of my post agrees with you about solidarity so I'm confused at the accusational response.
