What the hell he did to get black listed by Eurogamer?

I'm pretty sure the person who made that thread on Reee got perma banned, too. It's as if they knew this teacher makes trans people look bad and took their frustration out on the OP for having audacity to bring attention to the story on Reee. lol

Pathetic to be whining about not getting a free copy.

Starfield looks like a natural evolution of Fallout 4 which was all about guns and crafting things for guns. Less rpg and more action adventure shooter.

The Starfield thing is interesting because about half of Resetera has a religious conviction that it will be the second coming and it's clearly not going to be the videogame that people have invented. It's even more strange that we've seen a fair bit of it and we already know it's coming in half baked. We've had this exact cycle again and again with the big MS games. If it was a banger they'd have shown it to everyone with eyes a thousand times over but they've shown the same stuff over and over, because that's what the game is, little patches of terrain with some buildings that you load in and out of.

How many times do people need to be caught up in hype cycles about games that clearly aren't delivering on the pitch? It's been obvious with Starfield from the beginning. Everything they've shown is what the game is and was all along. But like with Halo people have invented narratives about what it might mean or what they think is coming instead of looking at the game in front of them.

If a company fucks with the reviews, they have no confidence in the game and are hoping Marketing hype carries it. Same deal every single time, people never learn.

Then there is a terrorist attack or some dude goes crazy and decapites a teacher. Nobody ends compromising and everything runs as normal.

Even the article fails to mention how they are supposed to be singled out from any other religious ban outside that Muslims groups swearing is totally not religious and just fashion, honest.

I think this religious and leftie groups focusing too much in “secularism” whining are more damaging to actually fighting institutional racism and xenophobia.

They want to have their cake and eat it too in regards to secularism and Islam. In fact, Lefties as a whole have this weird blind spot/double standard when it comes it Islam.
Starfield fails to stick the Landing

While the war in Ukraine rages on it seems almost trivial to review another videogame product. We almost skipped our review until Bethesda decided to end their boycott and send us a review code. They probably didn't want us to bring you this truth but we want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts to make enough noise so all voices can be heard. Unfortunately Bethesda failed to make Starfield an inclusive space(pun intended). The game has a lot of content but little diversity. Where is the "Talk until you solve problems" guilt? Where is the "Tea sipping space mom" guilt or Extinction Rebellion? This space fantasy is very much a male power fantasy with a focus on fighting wars for resources. The gunplay is pretty decent but neurodivergent players might find the sounds to be on the loud side. We recommend turning down the volume to 50% overall. A trigger warning would've been nice but apparently too much to ask for these days. Finally, despite our happiness of seeing the colourful boxart the cast isn't "colourful" in their tastes at all. We counted and out of 221 NPCs encountered in our 120 hours of playtime only 2 showed signs of being members of the LGTBQ+ community leaving my aspiring space cowboy with very little romance options and "stars" to explore. We're not saying that this is all Todd Howards fault but hopefully Bethesda can improve in the ways Microsoft has when it comes to representation. Perhaps on one beautiful day these thrilling space operas won't be directed by a middle-aged white guy but a person of color giving each of us the representation we deserve.

You've definitely got a career shot with either RPS or Eurogamer going on there.
This is the Apollo Landing Moment in videogame history.

Worry not Xbox fans as a member of the Xbox family Todd Howard has delivered in spades and Microsoft can now be crowned king of the RPG and space-sim genre. While naysayers will remind you it may not have the best graphics (in theory), it does offer the best atmosphere in any videogame ever. With a subtle artistic beauty that is only possible thanks to the Velocity Architecture on Xbox. While the gunplay can feel a little stiff we imagine it is very realistic to what firing an actual gun in space would feel like. Exploration is beyond anything we've seen on our screens in our lifetime. Some people may dislike the barriers but think of them as a way to prevent players from becoming addicted to exploring these vast planets. Building structures and ships is near perfect. Not as janky as Links Magic Arm in Breath of the Kingdom but static and reliable like we're used from Microsoft Excel. Talking about spreadsheets, you will need photographic memory to process all the detailed questlines and lore presented to you in Starfield. In one mission we did not only have to fire a gun but also look for a lost item, the variety on display is simply remarkable. Between loud guns, Hollywood grade voicework for all NPC's and background music this score is only matched by the best Hans Zimmer soundtracks. Animation work has always been a weakness of Bethesda but thanks to the limitless resources of Microsoft the animation work in Starfield is simply stunning. These stunning animations perfectly complement the in-depth character discourse as the  conversations feel more life-like than ever before. Of course at Xbox Era we try to remain objective and give constructive feedback on what could be better. For Starfield this would be the loading screens. The game has many loading screens which we understand are absolutely necessary to load these incredible scenes and vast planets with stunning animation work but perhaps this can be improved with a patch. Still, this does not stop Starfield from exceeding not just the barriers of space but also our scoring system. One Small Step for Todd, One Giant Leap for Xbox.

Y’all can hate, but I’m excited for it. Been loving the Bethesda jank since Daggerfall.
Quote:I was visitinf family in Paris a couple of weeks back, and I visited the museum of the middle ages.

Long story short: there’s a tiny park set up there in honour of Samuel Paty, but that part didn’t bug me - it was that it stated in clear words “he was a victim of islamic terrorism”.

Now, in a fair world yea, that makes sense but I guess I’ve not seen any memorials dedicated to Christian terrorism, which made it a bit odd.

NB: While I am aware of the heinous crimes of the Christian church from a longer historical, I’m curious as to the term “[religious] terrorism” specifically if there are any other examples to align with it.
