Wonder Woman, Harley Quinn, Scarlet Witch, Black Widow, Gamora, Catwoman and the three women leads of Black Panther 2 have seemed to do alright. And I'm also pretty sure ZeroVGM and others have assured me that Thor: Love and Thunder was a smash hit with everyone.

I really hope the movie does well so as not to give chuds anymore ammunition than they already have (not that'd it'd really stop them) but I don't know, some part of me just feels like we're heading into a perfect storm of Ant-Man Quantumania part 2 in terms of how it performs given the lack of hype I've seen in a lot of places and the culture wars being waged against women in superhero media just for existing, especially if they aren't planning on delaying anything because of the strikes and can't have the main cast do any press tours to build hype.

If it does come out, hopefully positive word of mouth will give it some decent legs like Elemental.

Volition being extinguished also means Idolninja's work on the PC patch of Saints Row 2 was done in vain and Volition broke their promise to finish his work after his passing.
Volition also went against their fans wishes and ignored the complaints about this new saints game from the reveal. This along with years long radio silence with regards to progress updates to the SR2 patch, just a few handwaved messages reiterating it was still being worked on by volunteers.

That shitty post up there is Example A of why game developers just shouldn’t interact with internet “fans” at all. They made the game they wanted to make, and were passionate about, and then because they didn’t scrap the entire thing and start over, they “ignored the will of the fans”.

“Fans” are not developers, and the end result of this is that one day you lose your job, your entire company shuts down, and then some chud on ResetEra whines that you “broke your promise” by losing your job

I’m sorry they made two or three consecutive shit games and lost any goodwill they had with fans, the first dude was being an asshole but the fact that people care more about a more than decade old game over “woke squad” may tell you how little Embracer could do with the studio.

Everyone there acting like Volition was the same one that made the original Saints Row and Red Faction, not the one that made consecutive bombas.

It's sad how many companies are under so mich pressure because they the impact of 1 failure can derail years of success.
