This probably isn't relevant in this case, but I think it's important to understand that one reason for this is that sex work is effectively illegal in most of the world so "modeling agency" is a common front for consensual sex work (usually, but not necessarily, escorting). It makes these stories very hard to parse because anti-sex work people will label a business established by otherwise consenting results as sex trafficking since that is what the local laws consider consensual sex work to be.

Again, this isn't me commenting on these allegations, this is more just a media literacy thing as someone who has spent a lot of time advocating for sex workers. You really have to pay close attention because this environment is rife with right-wing propaganda. The fact that a victim is seemingly also the complainant is a pretty strong indicator of what really happened here, though.

Genuinely asking. In your estimate, does the media generally use sex trafficking as a blanket term instead of sex work (or "prostitution") even when the latter is more appropriate?

Absolutely. I live in Canada, where it happens all the time. My local news ran a story a little while ago about the police blowing up a migrant sex trafficking ring to rescue the women inside. What they actually did was deported a bunch of women doing consensual sex work.

Hello, odd question but is there a trope name for this type of woman in fiction and I'm struggling to think of examples of women in games that are like this outside of Nemona (who is an odd example since she's the rival).

They tend to be outgoing, sporty, tall, sometimes musically, confident, happy, assertive and fun loving and often have a good heart. They sometimes/often get paired with the shy introvert (and usually heavily shipped with them. This isn't me judging btw, I DO THIS because I wish I had a friend like that and would instantly date her if I could transition) and acts like "I'm your new best friend and you don't get a say in the matter!" to them but not in an arsehole way, but trying to be friendly, in the loud way; with male examples being Sidon from Zelda or Kamina from Gurren Lagann.

I don't know what other people's obsession with gatekeeping is; everyone should be able to engage with Era on their own terms, whether it's not having a firehose of Trump dooming shoved down their throats or not having to see bad posters/people with legitimately awful viewpoints/console warriors/brand stans with deranged takes etc. You ignoring is not affecting those people's experiences, so I don't know why they should be concerned with yours.

That said, while I only have ~200 on my list, I have a good friend who's been at the 1,000 cap for a long time, and there are a couple people also at it that post about it here in the feedback thread once in awhile. If I recall correctly, unfortunately, the ignore list cap is a technical limitation, there may be ways to ultimately work around it, but even if so it's a really low priority, so don't expect it to change. I know my friend manages his ignore list every so often and usually finds numerous users on it that have been perma-banned, allowing him to remove them and free up a few slots.

The ignore list grew as this place got more and more negative which is a very common sentiment I see here often. List is fluid when you see somebody actually add something they get un-ignored. This thread has also shown that quite a few people are as authoritarian as some chuds trying to dictate how people should experience this forum and so would be so much worse if they had any real power over people. Still better than most places but let's not pretend ourselves by saying there's more wheat than chafe here as time passes. But I'm the problem...yeah.
