Think it’s twofold. They’re too lazy to research or read or have opinions. People posting here are hags who’ve been around nerd forms for some time. The fact the forum didn't endlessly mock the staff for saying they have to and do research every single topic on Earth to know the correct position in order to moderate every thread is one of the biggest condemnations of that forum. The fact this goes unremarked on every time the staff bring it up again to justify whatever stupid shit they've done lately is unfathomable to me.

Like, for fucks sake, how many times have we mocked the position they take on topics before they've even done it? You can tell every fucking take these people have on any topic with a casual perusal of their "sources" none of which are any better than they are. Random people with zero expertise or knowledge constantly repeating terribly sampled focus group tested thought terminating cliches. Gonna be the most updooted tweet from whoever hasn't been thrown under the bus for a slight sin yet. Just scrape the Bluesky feed of someone who is constantly wrong about basic factual assertions and has never predicted anything correctly like Alejandra Caraballo and you already know what shit they're going to be on about today and what they're all going to be saying about it. They permanently banned that dude who did the bare minimum of what legions of that forums should be doing every time Nepenthe opens her mouth about any topic more complex or detailed than how many coupons you're allowed to use at the register. And this is across the forum. Look at the outright delusional shit TransEra posts about biology or science with no pushback at all. How many threads are full of posts until one person calls out the completely ignorant takes and simple factual errors? Or even just someone reading the actual linked article? These people are not intellectuals of any kind but they all know they're the social, cultural and knowledge elites who can intelligently design every aspect of everyone's lives in the perfectly "rational" single way they should be. If they could just take the time off from bitching about white libs on video game forums or making dossiers about their gay coworkers who don't say "Good Morning" properly or binging 500 hours of political analysis from their favorite Bluey analysis YouTuber or whatever else is treated as evidence that they're the giants that we're all standing on the shoulders of. But ugh, the systemic issues and bad luck. Someday after the grand battle with Evil and the Last Judgement people will finally see how they're The Elect. Least I made the right decision cancelling the appointment I'd waited months for, for a private dysphoria diagnosis. That's £600 saved which never made sense to begin with. I have C cup breasts, I don't need to pay someone to tell me I'm trans. No sense continuing the GRC process I was part-way through either. Whole bunch of wasted time and effort there. Seems there's no recourse for trans women to be seen as women legally anymore.

I'm fortunate enough to pass to most people, pre-surgery, but even then I'm not going to live my life dependant on whether some random clocks me and I risk going to a men's prison. Fuck that. Equally not about to go into a men's bathroom because that's awkward for everyone, especially while I've had zero issues with women and spaces throughout my transition. So… fuck knows honestly.

I feel that people with real gender dysphoria will not half ass their transition or at least will really, really, really try to pass, as that is the whole point of those surgeries.

But is kind of  that Kyuuji says “what is the benefit of looking like a woman if I get thrown to men’s prison.”

The app: About a week ago, I found him on the app. I don't know whether he has the feature that allows you to hide yourself from other users (which may be why I never saw him before), whether he just created a new account, or if he saw me first and blocked me and then unblocked me, but…there he was. Around the time I saw him, I was coincidentally incognito myself (unrelated to him). But there's a 50/50 chance he saw me at some point and knows I'm on. My intuition tells me he still doesn't know, but whatever.

Anyway, I immediately blocked him.

Interactions at work: We don't talk. Ever. And I don't say good morning or "bye" anymore. I did come in one day and walked passed him and he said "good morning" (first time he ever initiated a good morning). So I mumbled "good morning" back. Whenever he is telling everyone bye, I don't respond.

This morning, I opened the door for him and he said thank you. I didn't respond. Then says "thank you" again, in a very subtle "you didn't hear me?" sort of way. And I just mumble "oh, you're welcome" in a subtle "why are you speaking to me?" sort of way lol.

Sucks that he works right in front of me now. Our boss moved a group of us to the downstairs office space. Before, he was off to my right out of view. Now, I can literally see his face at all times of the day.
