Normally I wouldn’t make fun of sad face threads like this because guy has mental issues, but this is the guy who was such an arrogant wanker his class hated him and even his teacher pulled him up for acting the cunt

But the biggest issue all comes round to university. I started university in the autumn of 2019, and it was ok to start with. I'm not good at being social, but I went in every day, mostly kept up with my assignments. Then covid and lockdown happened. My university went online at the beginning of the pandemic and stayed 90% online all the way through to my final year. And I let it slip, big time. I fucked it up so badly. I don't think they communicated with me, but equally I didn't communicate with them, so thats on me. Missed so much work, missed my dissertation, so in the end while I technically graduated, I didn't get a degree, I got some shitty certificate in the post. I haven't even told my family yet cos I'm ashamed, because I failed, again. Absolute loser.

OK, so the first and most important thing: this isn't unusual, especially at your age, and you're not a loser.

The transition into adult life is not an easy one and lots of people struggle with it. Covid and lockdown have compounded it.

Ok, fair enough, I was in the mindset of restrictions on movement (the open-air prison) when I said it but I do see how you could interpret it that way.



I guess what I’m trying to say is tearing down those fences - especially in a democracy - will almost certainly be the end of any politician that signs off on it.  Hamas probably won’t stop and if it were ever to happen that the fences were torn down and another attack like October 7th did happen, the careers of any politicians involved would almost certainly be over forever.  So who is going to sign off to have the fences torn down, realistically, while Hamas is still around?



Everything about this conflict is so “chicken or the egg” to me. Do you really not see it? “We can’t do thing X until they do thing Y!”



I wish the Palestinians would adopt a more African-American approach and just try to be uber-peaceful and have peaceful demonstrations and the like so outsiders can rally to their cause. I think the last 60 or 70 years has shown that Palestine isn’t going to shoot, rock throw or bomb their way out of this one.



Maybe that’s the most tragic thing here is that the most realistic way out probably just requires everyone, on both sides, to do basically nothing for awhile and yet…

From what I understand Paradox is in pretty bad shape so they have no choice but to release Skylines 2 and fix it up later. 

I don't know why people act like this is anything new though. Go back to a game like SiN that shipped in 1998 with a memory leak that had you stare at the loading screen for 15 minutes until they patched it. But patching games in 1998 wasn't as easy as 2023.

The pain of the Palestinians in Gaza right now is very different from the pain of the Israeli people, and maybe people need to be specifically aware of the differences and allow the experiences and circumstances to decouple. Conflation would be a real problem, particularly if one group is seen, and the other continuously not seen, be it by circumstance or by design.

i’m a 14 year old girl from scotland and on the 10th of october i made a discord server.

i advertised it as loli shota so anime fans would join. however someone joined and sent a lot of REAL cp of like actual kids. i saw it and didn’t really interact with it and people were telling me to delete it but i was scared and dumb and just didn’t want to interact with it at all because i was scared i’d get my info stolen if i did that.

the next day later on, the server was taken down for sexualisation of minors. i went away on holiday on the 13th of october and came back today (on the 21st). there’s been two police letters through the door addressed to my mums number saying they tried to contact her. it says the incident happened on the 10th of october (when the cp was sent). it doesnt specifically say what the incident was but i’m so scared that it’s related to the server.

my mum called the number back and still hasn’t confirmed what happened. they say they’re gonna try and put her on the line to someone. it’s classed as a non emergency.

will i get in trouble for owning the server if it is? i’m panicking and rlly need help
