I still maintain that the most interesting thing that could be done with Silent Hill is to tell a story about a bunch of people who grew up in town, surrounded by the magic of Silent Hill, having no idea what lurked right beneath them. The juxtaposition between "I know this place" and "OH GOD I DON'T KNOW THIS PLACE ANYMORE" would be a fascinating way to tell a story in Silent Hill, rather than another amnesiac being tortured by the town because they did a murder and forgot about it.

I wrote a whole pitch about it and then decided "fuck it" and took it out of Silent Hill and made my own New England horror setting, lol. I'm from New England and grew up around a bunch of towns just like Silent Hill, so I feel a real personal kinship with the idea OF the town that hasn't been paid off properly in a long time.

The staff communication is over the top. The video I saw on Twitter made it look like an accident, but the video was so gruesome that I didn't want to watch it over and over and analyze/scrutinize what happened. What I saw looked like an accident, but to authoritatively claim that it is 100% an accident, while leaving no room for someone else to chime in with their opinion, is a little too much. I've been watching hockey for more than 20 years, and it's hard for me say exactly what happened. What I saw looked like an accident, but I don't know for sure. Seeing the staff communication when I have the thought in my head "Very likely an accident, not 100% sure, difficult to tell" seems like way over the top and heavy handed.


I agree with others that neck guards should become a must in hockey, including the NHL.

MCU-stans are going through a real rough patch right now. With their king, Jeff Marvel, gone for 3 months, they don't know how to handle the increased criticism and mockery.
