What’s amazing is how various arab nations adapted the protocols of the elders of zion into shows. Like it’s their spider-man and needs a reboot every couple of years. Not even Hitler asked Riefenstahl to take a crack at it, and he was a big fan of the comics.

The central beef with Arabs towards Jews is racism and religious/ethnic, it always was, it will forever be. However you can't say that on Resetera because they've banned all the jews with a voice on account of Nepenthe hating them.

If that's the FJ review then this show must be one of the worst things ever put on film.

(01-15-2024, 10:01 AM)Gameboy Nostalgia wrote: Always remember that you matter. You are awesome.

there's a short story I read once in a compilation, called something like "the way of kings"

this prince is on a path in the forest, a ritual path he has to follow to prove he's ready to become king. it turns out that this is a mostly ceremonial thing, but as he becomes lost, he stumbles onto the real "way of kings" that was long forgotten

as he's walking he gets hungry and starts wishing he had a half-decent meal, and at that moment he hears bells in the distance, and stumbles across a small monastery, an order of monks who have done nothing but prepare for his coming for decades

they give him a shitty stale sandwich and water to drink, a half-decent meal just like he had been dreaming of, and then with the prophecy fulfilled they all pack up to leave, their life's work complete

the prince keeps walking and after a while gets tired and finds himself wishing he could find a reasonable place to rest, and again he hear bells in the distance and he realizes what this must mean

at this new monastery, the monks usher him into the barn and make him sleep on the hay, it's not super comfortable but it's warm enough and out of the wind, and the next morning all the monks are preparing to leave, their life's work complete

this time when the prince is on his way, he starts thinking about what he should "wish" for next, what would be best in life

he remembers something his father always used to say, that kingdoms come and go, great wars are fought, but in the end if no one remembers you it's all for nothing. you can't guarantee that you will MATTER

so the prince confidently says, "I want to matter," and again hears bells in the distance

this time as he arrives at the monastery, everyone salutes him, as they have been preparing for his arrival, not to give him something but so that he would take his place at the head of their order...

many decades later, the prince is an old man, having abdicated the throne to his more important duty. he sits in his study in the monastery, awaiting the day that a young princess of prophecy will come along, wishing she had some boots without holes that actually fit

and he sighs, content that it's nice to know he will matter

this is what I always think of when the concept of "mattering" comes up

I didn't have him on ignore until recently because he seemed like he was forthright with being a tankies and a true believer. But it's just too much with all of the other tankies.

You can tell it had been hacked up. Weird pacing and editing, and then it just kind of ends. It was pretty bad. 3.5/10.

Quote:What he means is he wants you to pay for games indefinitely

I have no objection with playing games without owning them. Stuff like Gamepass and Gamefly has curtailed my Day 1 spending by a lot. Games are so expensive these services are needed just so people can have easy accesibilty to them.

What I hate if that these Executives want this to be the only way to access content so they can control and monetize it forever.

Hesright

This also applies to films, tv shows and music.
