Hell, i've not even convinced that AI played no part in the creation of the game. I've never seen a game that's spent this many years in development and somehow not a single piece of concept art? And all of the monster designs were handled by a graduate student who was quickly able to pump out 100 "unique" designs for the game. If i'm wrong and there is a ton of concept art someone correct me.

We don't even have any concept work for the Pals, 2D or 3D.

Totally normal.

Literally the one thing that could defuse the whole situation on palworld from its makers would be sharing even a hint of concept art for the pals.
That we have gone so far without a hint of them even existing is not helping them dodge plagiarism accusation.

Can AI actually spit out a 3D mesh for some new pokemon? I don't think we're that far yet. There'd probably be more work cleaning that up than making a new one.

I'm avoiding this like a plague due to the popularity. I'm sorry but something that blows up this much is just too mainstream and too common denominator for my taste.

I have no idea of the quality but hope everyone that is playing is having fun. Popularity has never equated to quality imo and never will.

That's one of the issues with modern gaming discourse in general.

The generation that lived through the PS3/Xbox 360 era and to a lesser extend Xbox One / PS4 (i.e. when things were competitive) are invested in the sales, brands, developers, technology etc. and at this point focus on that more than playing the actual games.

While the younger gamers just play the games they want to play.

From my perspective this thing exploded like pubg back in the day, I have almost every steam Friend on this… And they were never interested in Pokémon(big on survival game tho).
But now they jumped out and are interested in Pokémon lol, I think this will only increase the genere popularity overall and thanks to that next main game on more powerful hardware will be even bigger imo, depending on how much more will it grow.
