All I know is it got me writing a book about an inclusive Magic School (when witches were once all suspected of being from the class of social outcasts in the old days; spinsters, widows, midwives, pretty/ugly women, slaves, lepers, queer people, sex workers, homeless beggars, non-white, old women, young unmarried women, healers, etc).

I feel like between this and the last thread about 'college girls' you should look inward either yourself introspectively, or through a therapist. It just comes across that you're looking for a solution for this in others rather than yourself. Which leaves you open to not only hurting others but hurting yourself. Being desperate for affection can place you in situations where you're taken advantage of easily and as much as you might think you might not care, I wouldn't discount the pain it can cause.

I think you should take some time to explore how you really feel when it comes to your attraction. There's nothing wrong with being bi, as I'm sure you feel for others, but it's easy to feel shame when applied to yourself.

Similarly I think a large part of your problem is self confidence. Which is understandable when it comes to feeling as you do. For a large part of my life I was seen as an effeminate man and it had no impact on my ability to date and be in strong relationships with women. Yes this is alongside female friends regarding me affectionately as a gay-but-not-gay best friend. I just didn't care. Not all women are looking for some hyper masculine chad.

If you want to date guys then do it, but do it because you're interested in them and being with them (whether it's for a night or in a relationship). Not because you're desperate for affection and assume it will be an easier route to take.

It's obviously a game and you want to game the system and try to get dates but like...I struggled with that and tried to be honest and failed because duh, you want to come off as attractive to the opposite party. The whole "be yourself" mantra which I believe in but I guess the reality is most matches happen with people acting with airs on and then discover the regular parts of their match...

So I guess I've been working backwards assuming just being myself and presenting all there is to know about me upfront is what would work when maybe I need some more mystique. I like to learn more about girls overtime myself and like a girl with a bit of edge and mystery.

I've been a huge fan of the Persona series for awhile, but one of the only aspects that consistently disappoints is its representation of the queer community. Lately however, there has been a shift. With Persona 3 Tactica including a moment in which the protagonist can envision getting married to any of the party members without it being played like a joke when choosing Ryuji or Yusuke (or at least being no more of a joke than the scenes with the female options, and none of the jokes are bout both characters being Mae) and removing a transphobic joke from Persona 3: Reload in all translations of the game. With the same rumors that confirmed the existence of both aforementioned games also mentioning a Persona 6 reveal likely this year, do you think it'll keep up the trend?

I'm not entirely sure about Tactica, but one thing Reload and P6 will seemingly have in common is a newer, younger writing team without Hashino overseeing them. I think it's fair to say we will be able to escape the bigoted jokes, but is there a possibility of more? I think the major changes we could hope for include a choice between male and female main characters, the ability to romance any of the choices regardless of gender, and perhaps even making the game set in college or remove the significantly older romance options. I've included a poll just to see what everyone else thinks about the possibilities at hand.

Progressive is removing jokes, college and let me fuck anyone I like.
