I don't have access to the Discord because I'm not involved with PoliEra, so maybe I'm missing context... but from the sounds of it, it's not being defended? The mods from that server specifically stated that the person involved Googled the mod to see if the antisemitism was really said mod, saw KF for the first time, and left, and then was told on the Discord by multiple people not to fuck with KF.

I know we don't want offsite stuff getting mixed up in things here, but I also think it's a reasonable impulse to Google if you see something as concerning as blatant antisemitism from a mod, even just for peace of mind. The doxxing itself (as in, the picture of the house and all of that) is absolutely unacceptable, and I'm glad that Nep is safe, to be clear. I can't imagine how terrifying any of this has been.

But I also don't understand what constitutes "defending" going to KF. Normally, I'd have looked through the Discord for myself before posting something like this, but since I don't have the link, I can only go off what I'm seeing here. Provided what the PoliEra mods said is true about that user being told not to touch KF, I don't see how they're defending it, and I don't understand why that user needs to be banned from PoliEra's Discord for googling something out of concerns of antisemitism. From the sounds of it, the issue is the use of KF, but that user seems to have not purposefully gone there and been warned by the Discord to not do so after mentioning it. I don't understand why they'd need to also be banned afterward. Am I misunderstanding something...? If that user was creepingfear (I can't quite tell), I don't understand how the post you quoted shows they knew. I legit could be missing something.

Long Answer:

I don't know shit about PoliEra but I think the average Era user agrees with Nepenthe's tweets and holds those views. 

Those are normal thoughts on the conflict for millennial and genZ lefties and lefties (not normal Democrats, left of that) is almost all that's left on Era.

I've seen multiple leftwing people I internet-knew go down the same path and many aren't even American. Trump broke their brains so they got obsessed with Being on the Right Side of History and Punching Nazis, BLM got them to apply the American racial lens to everything in the world, and COVID isolated them from normal people and they don't want to return to normal society. They all try to one-up each other in their social media postings to show how loyal progressives they are.

Even happened to a smaller (mostly American) gaming community I used to be part of. A year ago I saw they were going down the same leftwing path of unseriousness about antisemitism (unless it's from the right) and misogyny (it's okay if the people are bad )

I will never understand the GOP's obsession with cutting/privatizing these programs. It's money that old people have paid into the system their whole lives, being paid back to them. They're literally entitled to it, hence the non-ironic name "entitlement programs".
