I think you (and others) are misunderstanding what "I don't like the smell" actually means in this case. It's not necessarily that the aroma is unpleasant but the associations that come with the smell.

In the case of "stinky" vegetables, they're just that. It might not be particularly pleasant to smell, but it's more or less harmless.

However, In the case of the smell of meat you need to understand that many Vegans find the idea of killing animals absolutely abhorrent. Beyond an "It's cruel to do X" way of thinking and more of a "People who take part in this are disgusting" view, and even to the extent that they themselves can become incredibly upset or even depressed when they have to confront the reality of what is happening to the animals. It's a well known fact that smells can stimulate memories and associations in the human brain, and for many Vegans the smell of cooking meat will remind them not of the foodstuffs, but of the process by which those foodstuffs are produced. (It should be noted that in some instances this association does actually make people feel sick)

I think it's pretty reasonable to make this kind of restriction, particularly when the landlord lives in the same building, but being Vegan I understand that I am biased. I do think its weird that they decided to be a Landlord but I guess that's a different issue...

Animal products are bad.

People who participate in the creation of animal products are bad or in the best case, wilfully ignorant.

People who consume animal products are not inherently bad as they have been subjected to years upon years of what is essentially propaganda/brainwashing telling them that "it's ok", when really it's not. However the consumption of animal products is also tantamount to an addiction, and I don't blame anyone for being addicted to something. I'm happy to help anyone reduce their animal product consumption or make a change to a vegan lifestyle if they want to.

For the record i view you and the people who believe as you do, the same way as ant-abortion believers.

Hype doesn't lead to long-term sales legs. Hype gets up-front sales, it leads to preorders and high launch numbers. But if a game has legs for two years post-release, that means people WANT to play it, they aren't just getting caught up in pre-launch hype.

I generally think FFXV is the kind of game that most consumers liked enough. It's just one of those games that inspires an extremely negative reaction from online gamer types, since gamers tend to be "all or nothing" kind of folks who like to group games in "GOAT or GARBAGE" baskets for easy categorization.

FF16 completely revolves around Clive and they still managed to give Jill a mini arc. I don't get what's wrong with that; the game isn't about her. Vanille and Fang get so much screen time since they're the most important characters in the story.
