In an attempt to re-rail the thread, my headkid Bridie has been playing Yo-Kai Watch 2 and fae have latched onto the Yo-Kai "Toiletta" (Hanako-san) who from what I understand is based on the folk legend of a primary school student who was beaten to death in a school bathroom. I understand why she likes teh caharacter (she feels like she herself is a ghost child) but this is all just a very weird thing to have in a kids game in my opinion.

Any systems with fictives? If so, how many and who are they (or who are they based on)?

I have three fictives in my system. Two are wolf characters from books that have been around since I was a young teen. They're names are Tykell and K_tanaqui. My other fictive is Jaskier from the Witcher. He has a much more active role in the system and basically acts like a constant radio lol always singing something.

We're pretty fictive heavy lol, here's a bit of a list

Yeah I am really worried. My partner is a trans woman in america and she lives in a red w=state with a democratic governor. Let's not pretend Dogma is the first time this happened specifically to games with a somewhat big and very vocal fanbase, this is not accidental or the fans' fault. She knows what she's doing and it's working just fine.

My question personally is...what's the benefit in being a "professional leaker", though? Like what does it get a person? Why bother? I leaked shit ONCE back when I was a journo and it just was not worth the stress. Doing it day in/day out, making it one's whole personality...it just doesn't click in my brain. Like I feel like there's a difference between a journalist doing actual investigative reporting, and someone who just winds up being "an anonymous twitter account who vaguely leaks stuff". What's the upside?
