I don't really like bayoenetta even personality wise but at least Bayo is cool. Still, I'd rather play most other female protagonists, but that's kind of mostly due ot being sex repulsed, but i also like morrigan more cos while shes sexy, she has a lot more to her (and shes plural)

It's honestly kinda hilarious that Sony is definitely trying to push the Strong Female Protagonist angle for Eve in the most half-assed girlboss way possible....when Shift Up's made it abundantly clear they stand directly against that sentiment and are openly proud of treating Eve as little more than their personal fuck-doll.

This is like when Solid Snake repeats everything like he's a noob even though hes a legend. It's just a way to introduce a player to new game mechanics. This is nothing new to video games, and it'll happen with both men and women protags.

The totally new concept of a map.

It's not that she didn't know what a map was. It's that she didn't know what the totally pointless artistic depiction of land on paper was. She even asked how she could synchronize her position on it. Why would she ask that if she didn't know what a map was as a concept. Like 10 seconds after that interaction she also reveals she doesn't know what books are. Adam explained books to her as "data storage devices that can only hold about 1 megabyte of data," and she commented how wasteful that is.

Bayonetta is fetish bait but the whole dom thing I feel disqualifies her from being chud bait. Like I'm not a fucking idiot so I won't argue that her being "in on the joke" makes it better than Eve just kinda stumbling into compromising positions every five minutes, but it is a difference in framing that changes how people engage with these characters. Also accidental or not the first game at least approaches some kind of feminist statement in how ultimately the villain is a literal patriarch overseeing a religious order trying to exert control over her body.

They did fuck up so hard in 2 and 3 though that if Origins didn't exist I'd say the series was unsalaveable from a narrative perspective.

Played the demo, and it was so good and short that i ended up playing it a few more times. Think i found my first GOTY contender, smart move on sony's part getting a marketing deal with this game. I def think the story will be pretty interesting

I've been following the industry for most of my life at this point. Dating has always happened in the background, on music shows, ISAC, etc. It's common knowledge around fans at this point.
