Nowhere in any of my posts in that thread defended misogyny. Just because you're unhappy with how things are doesn't give you the right to lash out at me. If you have a problem with me posting something that will help reset the positive energy so a more productive discussion can happen then fine. But don't say that I am defending misogyny. You're just be overly hostile and aggression for no reason to a person that didn't do anything to you or interact with you prior.

EDIT: When things are getting heated to the point that a few of the posters have to have a banner to not take everything with a negative tone, there's a reason for it. Instead of labeling my actions as one that supports misogyny, I think it'd be much more beneficial to look at your own actions and see how your first interaction with a person is one filled with hostility and how that might be replicated in many of your other actions. I get that people are sick of saying stuff against a wall of people that refuse to listen. But don't misconstrue another person's actions and label it shit like "defending misogyny."

Your type of posts are either embarrassingly ignorant at best or are done as a bad faith actor as worst. Either way you're on my ignore list. I agree with this sentiment. I think everyone is entitled to their own opinions and ethics and principles. It's also totally okay with sharing and educating people on why those values are important to you as a person. What has become increasingly apparent over the discourse for this game (and other games) is that we want to police other users that do not share the same care/value system. People are advocates for different things that affect their daily lives. For some that means not eating meat. For others that means not supporting the local coffee shop that is known to be a sex offender. Different people choose to have their battles of their own choices. Damning someone for not fighting the same "good fight" as you just seems like you care more about you being right than the actual cause. There's a balance to this and all sorts of nuance is lost when we start labeling people negatively the moment their actions don't align with yours.

There's a huge difference between not eating meat and not supporting a sex offenders business tho

I love how they can just drop this kind of thing in response to a guy trying to make a series of well thought out posts about the difficulty of what people are angrily demanding in that thread.

Nobody bothers to explain the "huge difference" that supposedly exists here. The guy says "nuance is lost" and a "progressive" member who is constantly bitching in all these threads rolls in and deliberately paves over nuances. What if we believe meat is murder? What if we believe even sex offenders should be able to be rehabilitated and start a business? Nah, shut the fuck up, there's a HUGE DIFFERENCE between these rhetorical examples therefore your entire argument can be handily dismissed.

Yes there's a huge difference. The point was to illustrate that different people care about different things and choose to actively fight for what they believe in that's vastly differently for your own.
