Some people fantasize about fighting people or banging hot chicks, planet smasher fantasizes about… questioning Sony executives on stellar blade…

lmao

From their gamergate 2.0 thread:

Also pushing people to cancel their PS+ subscriptions.

All this over some costumes.

Absolutely. I would say this falls more on Sony as the publisher, since their partners are Korean devs, so it's their job to catch these kinds of things.

I can tell you this about Morrigan. Mentioned before I shared a Discord server with her from like 2016 to 2020. So she hilariously have experienced male gaze from the nerdy NeoGAF/Resetera crowd which she definitely played on big time. The thing about Morrigan her bitching about things is never out of ethics or morals or whatever, it's about herself, she's incredibly self servant. So when she's crying about this Stellar Blade or other games it's entirely out of jealousy that she have no tits or ass, but also the fact how dare people like things that she doesn't, she's a 40-something year old woman who still haven't grasped the concept that people might like different things than her. But if you kiss her ass constantly and like the same exact things as her, she's gonna be the sweetest person ever. But if not you'll get the rude and bitchy person you see on Resetera. But anyway back to the male gaze part, she has quite the army of male admirers from the NeoGAF/Resetera crowd, some that she exchanges explicit photos with(You guys call her Morricunt. Ironically she has quite the nice one. Good on you Morrigan). Which is interesting considering she has a boyfriend,  but he seems to be the most whipped guy ever.

Being seen as one of the good/reasonable ones on an issue and how being spotlighted always comes with that sense of shade thrown at others in the community. It always feels shit whether it's because of a thing you like or the 'civility' you're offering in the discussion. I've had it a lot with the trans side of things where someone will ignore a number of other members just to greet me with some thanks for using a 'calmer tone' or offering a 'civil discussion', I hope I avoid it with Stellar Blade.

It just seems to operate under a complete lack of awareness for any hierarchy in things. Yes I'm sometimes placid, no it doesn't mean I don't have the back of my trans siblings who aren't. Yes I like Stellar Blade, no it doesn't mean you can paper over issues other women have with it. Made even more stupid when I share many of them. It just feels like you're being claimed or used as a prop by people and it leaves a foul taste.

It's such an incredibly daunting and frustrating position to be in, especially when people seem to make up their own versions of you in their head or something, like "oh this person's cool! They talk positively about this game that has problematic content, so I guess that means they're "one of the good ones", unlike all those other pesky people bringing up the game's issues." All because they only see one facet of you, or only what they want to see, and ignore all nuance.

Thank you for your contributions to the Stellar Blade discussions though, a lot of your posts have been interesting to read, and it's always a joy seeing such passion and thoughtfulness in someone's writing.

This is what a lot of their faux-intellectual discussions about popular media sound to me like. Nepenthe talking about Black Panther being the first movie for Black people. Or Nepenthe talking about Need for Speed: Heat. Or Nepenthe talking about Lucio. Or Nepenthe decrying that post-apocalyptic media doesn't depict single ethnicity utopias. Or Nepenthe lecturing about the true meaning of art. Not to actually pick on her but she's kind of the best and I remember these specific discussions by the poster so once I thought of the first one I could come up with others from her. Feel free to remind me of other examples. All their interminable discussions of skin color or "queer" "representation" and its necessity sound like this lunaticwank to me.
