99% of all these migrants show up at the border with smartphones these days.

Most of them know perfectly well the traffickers are lying but they just want to move to the US and Europe based on what they see and read on the internet.
And they also see, hear and read that most countries will not deport them after they enter and an army of lawyers is ready to make their case. 

We need to abandon this idea that these people are all too dumb to understand they're being 'tricked' into moving.
The traffickers are simply offering a service for a demand that is already there. The 'advertising' helps but it's not the main reason why they choose to make the trip.

They know that currently at worst they get send back and at best they receive UN issued credit cards, shelter and a possible future in a nation with a GDP 50x - 100x their own.

I can't find the link at the moment but there's a great clip of a turkish dude who crossed the border and immedietly went "wtf why was this so easy you can be letting bad people in" as he gestures to other guys who crossed the border.

How do these people think shows were judged for renewal before...? And how do you know its worth saving if you haven't actually watched it?

I want these shows to survive, but I also don't want to watch them when views matter . Maybe if a show is that uninteresting to you, it's for the best it dies off so something actually worth watching gets a chance? Just think of the marginalized people whose shows will never get a chance because you've left the latest slop running in the background to game the system.
