Do they really think people are going to stick around through the credits, read all the special thanks credits and go "oh, I should check out these Andy No and Tyler Hanson guys, I bet they have great views I should adopt completely and make my new personality"?

He probably put the footage in the movie, then later the studio said "wait, where did this come from? Did you shoot this?" Then they paid probably peanuts and added the credit so nobody could sue rather than work up a budget to find new footage, get that approved, call back in the director and editors, etc.
Or I guess maybe it was a secret plot by some movie director to help fascism through convoluted secret signals as dictated by the rituals he agreed to when secretly joining the movement.

This guy has a law degree and still doesn't understand when to use the word fewer instead of less. But thanks for the wisdom..I would have never known that cutting calories is a way to lose weight.

He has the power to wipe out the entire human race, and if we believe there's even a one percent chance that he is our enemy we have to take it as an absolute certainty... and we have to destroy him.

And apparently thinks the body stops burning energy when you’re in a caloric deficit.

Look, I'm not going to call anybody out specifically but I think we all could do better by thinking about if we're really going out of our way to make up lies about Disney productions just to put marginalized people in danger and tell them they aren't welcome in society as long as capitalism remains. There are all kinds of ways you can deny the dignified life we all deserve to marginalized people without you needing to just be dishonest to everyone about how much you enjoy the fine work of Disney in every single way. Sure, there's no quicker way to tell marginalized people you want them dead than to falsely claim you weren't astounded by the quality of some Disney thing but we all know you aren't saying anything factual and are just looking to cause harm in the laziest way possible.
Do better.

Does he not watch these star wars movies/shows or even know about them? They may not be good but the diversity is part of why South Park made their "put a chick in it, make her lame and gay" jokes about Kathleen Kennedy. Let's look at a few of the most recent series casts:
The Acolyte, 2024:
Ahsoka, 2023:
Andor, 2022:
Diversity isn't their issue here, if anything it seems like forced diversity may be causing poor writing but maybe not.
Incredible, no attempt at self reflection
I think writing stories that basically tells its main audience that they suck and everything they liked sucked and needs to change to something they don’t like has. Backfired

The Rose character in The Last Jedi was the pivot point. Completely fourth wall breaking, every time she was on screen it took you out of it, because the only reason she was in it was to wink at the stupid fucking nerds on twitter who buy all the stuff.
I can just about deal with ewoks and Jar Jars, I cannot deal with Resetera consumers in my star wars
Has no-one been keeping an eye on the Constructive Community Discussion thread? Just a load of Game of Thrones-focussed wanky discussion going on there at the moment.
Busiest the thread has been in weeks.

I really have yet to see any improvement. 🤷
Weren’t a lot of you guys saying that SF6 was a huge improvement in female character designs? (Because they give Chun Lin yoga pants).

If you consider “forced diversity” the fact that they congratulate themselves for every single progressive thing they do (which is minimal, let’s be real) and the key producer self promoting with “girl boss” BS. Then yes.
I think the bad writing is less because diversity and more because clueless executives and enabling writers. “Rey is so interesting because she has the same character arc as Luke Skywalker but with a vagina” “Look, a black MC, isn’t that cool? But he needs to be second fiddle to everyone else and not take advantage of his unique background. Fuck him.” “Is Rose cute? He just stopped Finn on sacrificing himself to save the Resistance because “we are going to win with LOVE.”
We had shows from beloved IP with a diverse cast that people love (Fallout and One Piece) because they aren’t written like garbage or using culture wars to promote them.

Meanwhile Capcom's own survey showed that fans skew heavily male and one of the primary things those fans look for in games are "unique and attractive characters"
Why are they always so mad when they simply cater to the audience they actually have instead of an imaginary one? And despite all that, characters like Leon S Kennedy are clearly made with a female audience in mind

Being fair, there is no way that Dino Crisis won that survey as “most requested remake”.
