I think we're reaching the peak of disillusionment with social media across the board, as it's become increasingly clearer to a large portion of the public that what we're being fed is pure unfiltered bullshit. Especially since the most notable owner of one of the major platforms has made a deliberate effort to give the most inflammatory voices - including Trump - the priority of his platform's presence.

There's never been a more stark difference between what we read in every tweet posted in here (or, if we're counting forums as social media, a lot of the regular posts in this subforum), and what's happening in reality, as evidenced by what's been reported by people who are actually talking to people in the ground level. And I'm not talking random anecdotes; multiple times during this whole ordeal, people have essentially been focus tested by random journos, reporters & networks on Biden's age & they've essentially said they don't give a shit.

Honestly, when Biden wins, I'm just gonna delete most of my social media profiles. At that point, there's zero value in any of the current options except for Reddit when I need pertinent information on something.

I mean sure, that'd be cool if he proved everyone wrong, but we'll never see that happen because he's dropping out. Dem leadership isn't going to allow Biden to hold the party hostage and potentially lose the senate and house along with the presidency. We're realistically a week away from him dropping out

People were literally saying that exact same thing a week ago. And since then he's gaining momentum, not losing it and mainly because people are starting to focus on other things. People should really come to terms with the part where he's most likely gonna be the candidate unless he falls ill.
