IIRC it was three things:
1. The head of the studio made some crass (but not cancel worthy) jokes about developing games being akin to masturbation and sexual pleasure, including during hiring documents for game development.
2. A director had said that they make games to appeal to manly men, and it isn't a girly game meant for women in a somewhat crude way.
3. Apparently there were a .pdf document of streamer guidelines released by the company which said to not discuss feminist propaganda or COVID-19, though I personally still think this is fake since the .pdf file looked like anything anyone could type up. 

The main takeaway is that none of it was anything to get super butthurt about, and it has nothing to do with the game itself. At worst, it just seemed like immature jokes and a few gendered stereotypes made by two members of the dev team, which isn't a huge deal unless you're a massive pussy. Just things a normal person can disagree with and then move on and judge the game on its own merit. Absolutely not the horrific crime that Ree would have you think it is.

I have a friend who worked on this game, he was promoting it and trying to get people to play it. I felt bad cause I knew this was going to be the outcome, wild so many consumers could see this happening but the studio and Sony didn't. Just no way for a game like this to succeed when most of these games are f2p. I did play the beta and was enjoying myself but none of my friends gave it a shot.

That "friend" is absolutely someone that's just in the same Discord server.

I don’t know why they hide it, I’ll gladly say I’m a nationalist first, and foremost. But they hide behind equality. Mod Nep is a nationalist, tankie, and racist. She’ll support anyone that can take down America, and probably support them in the suppression of individual rights for all that live under that nations flag. I guess I just don't understand like, instead of potentially having to admit you're wrong (and I'm not saying you are, we don't know), wouldn't it be more responsible to not speculate in the first place and avoid it altogether? Just because it's probably the case that the thing that resonated with people is the initial reaction rather than the cleanup, like how few people check the corrections for newspapers when they get stuff wrong, once it's out there it has a way of sticking.
